Shady can be unlocked through your interactions with Sisyphus. Unlocking this companion requires progressing relationships, unlocking chambers, and investing specific resources.

How to Get Shady

You can get Shady from Sisyphus once you complete his Favor. To begin, you must offer Sisyphus six Nectar. After this, the task is to remove his sentence, which requires several conditions to be met.

First, you need access to the Administrative Chamber, which can be purchased from the House Contractor.

You also need to deepen your bond with certain characters. This involves reaching five hearts with Megaera and then having a conversation with her regarding Sisyphus.

In addition, you must get five hearts with Nyx, speak with her about the Administrative Chamber, and then wait for a later conversation where she mentions Sisyphus again in Hades.

Once these requirements are met, you can enter the Administrative Chamber to find the relevant document. However, this does not finish the Favor. You must then provide four Diamonds to the House Contractor to finalize the release of Sisyphus.

Afterward, meet Sisyphus again and tell him about his freedom. When you give him one Ambrosia, he will grant you Shady.

How Shady Functions

When you use Shady, Sisyphus summons Bouldy in front of you. This action deals 1,000 damage within an area and also provides items such as health, gold, and darkness.

This companion becomes more effective if you have the Ocean’s Bounty boon, as it enhances the resources you get in Hades.
