Psyche is a common Currency that can be used for Incantaion, upgrades and increasing the Grasp of your character in the Altar of Ashes in Hades II.

Essential Equipment

To begin, ensure you have three specific items that make the process more effective. First, equip the Tablet of Peace. This item currently increases the chances of encountering Lone Shades, which can be compelled to obtain a substantial amount of Psyche.

Second, bring along Frinos the Frog, your animal companion. Frinos the Frog improves the spawn rate of Lone Shades and allows you to bypass the minigame involved in compelling them. This adjustment saves time throughout repeated runs in Hades II.

Third, use the Poseidon Ring (Vivid). This ring is essential because Poseidon offers two abilities that directly enhance your Psyche gains. Ocean’s Bounty provides a chance to double any resource gained, which includes Psyche drops, while Sunken Treasure grants an immediate reward Boon that can also include additional Psyche.

Strategy to Farm

Once you have the required items, start your runs up to Hecate, the first boss of the game. The strategy involves deliberately falling to Hecate so that you can restart the run in Hades II.

During each run, prioritise visiting Psyche Rooms and Charon, as you can purchase Psyche from him to shorten the farming time. Also, focus on Poseidon’s rooms to acquire the mentioned Boons that help boost your Psyche collection.

Always use Frinos the Frog whenever a Lone Shade appears to maximise your yield. Following this routine allows you to gather approximately 80–120+ Psyche per run in Hades II.

Maximizing Efficiency

A single run takes around 5 minutes if your weapon is fully upgraded. Each run will take about 7–8 minutes if you don't buy any upgrades. Focusing on staying efficient allows you to complete 10 to 12 runs per hour, earning you around 800 to 1,440 Psyche. This method accelerates the process of getting the highest level of your Grasp.

For even higher returns, adjust your Arcana to include more rolls, which naturally increases your Psyche gain. Make sure to remove the Death Defiance Arcana, as it prolongs the run after you reach Hecate, slowing down your farming cycle in Hades II.
