Toula is a wildcat that deals damage within a specific area when equipped and also provides a decent amount of health boost when the bond reaches a certain level in Hades II.

Initial Requirement

You have to defeat Hecate five times using a Pickaxe and the Shovel. The Picaxe and the Shovel should be used twice during the encounters. This is the first step towards unlocking Toula in Hades II.

Additionally, you must free at least one soul using the Tablet of Peace. Once these requirements are met, Hecate will provide you with the Faith of Familiar Spirits incantation, which requires one Lotus and two Nectar to cast.

Successfully performing this incantation will grant you a Witch's Delight, a biscuit-like item that serves as the key to befriending Animal Familiars in Hades II.

You will have to make more Witch's Delights using the Beastloved Morsel recipe, which takes one Nectar and one Stardust. You will be able to buy Stardust from the Wretched Broker for 600 bones, but they are only available for one each evening, so it is a very difficult-to-find item in early gameplay.

Toula - Combat and Ability

Toula can only be found after reaching the surface, specifically in the docks area between the first and second zones of the surface region in Hades II.

This occurs after defeating the first surface boss and before beginning the second act. Like other Familiars, Toula requires multiple encounters before accepting your Witch's Delight offering.

Toula has a Death Defiance ability, which gives you 40 health when you would otherwise die, and dispenses with the fishing minigame by catching fish for you automatically.

In combat, Toula can be activated by sprinting over her, causing her to rush toward the nearest enemy and attack multiple times at rapid speed in Hades II.

Toula's Death Defiance ability represents a lesser version of the standard Death Defiance mechanic, providing only 40 health upon revival rather than complete restoration.

But still, it is beneficial for survival, particularly on challenging runs where each point of health saving is valuable.

Autonomous fishing capability prevents frustration caused by lost catches and guarantees efficient resource collection from fishing areas.

You need to move directly over Toula to set up its attack combo. Then, Toula charges at the closest target and strikes the target six or seven times consecutively.
