Venom is probably one of the coolest animated superheroes in Marvel Cosmic Invasion. His attacks are of a wide variety and emphasize crowd control and slowing enemies down. This guide will cover his attacks.

Light Attack

For his light attack, Venom uses his symbiote limbs to strike enemies from afar, making him one of the best at melee combat for his range. The attack looks like a snapping claw, and it’s pretty quick as well; positioning yourself carefully will allow you to repeat attacks and hit successful combos.

Sprint Attack

For his sprint attack, Venom lunges and runs forward with his mouth wide open, which allows him to take out multiple enemies at once.

Its range may be limited to aerial targets; however, it is easy to do and inflicts a lot of damage, as well as launching enemies into the air.

Charged Attack

Venom’s charged attack is similar to Spider-Man's, as they both shoot webs. Some would consider it to be even better due to Venom’s charge attack having a grab afterwards.

Enemies get reeled in and slammed to the ground, allowing you to throw them or deal more follow-up attacks. It works best against bosses and other shielded enemies.

Ranged/Grab Attack

As mentioned before, his grab is deadly against shielded enemies and bosses. An underrated aspect of his grab is the ability to also target enemies in the air.

Aerial Attack

Venom’s aerial attack is similar to Spider-Man's, meaning it’s not really the best. The aerial attack causes Venom to swing around from his web to knock enemies over. Ideally, you’ll want to pair it with his sprint and grab attacks.

Special

For the special, Venom does an AoE attack by dealing symbiote strikes; he unloads multiple strikes for a few seconds, taking out enemies around him.

Although it doesn’t have the best range, it’s great when it is used up close.

Passive & Assist

His passive web slows them down, but it’s only deployed when the spirit attack and grab attacks are used.

When used as an assist character, Venom rushes in and uses his sprint attack; however, it doesn’t have the same knockback effect as his regular sprint.

Defense

When it comes to defence, Venom has his block and parry, allowing you to counterattack enemies with ease.

Overall, Venom has a medium to strong skillset that allows him to stand out and dominate close-range combat; when executed with proper positioning, he becomes fun to use.
