Marvel Cosmic Invasion | Cosmic Ghost Rider Guide

Cosmic Ghost Rider is a well-balanced, often overlooked superhero in Marvel Cosmic Invasion. His kit is pretty unique, and it allows you various ways to deal steady damage as well as control space. 

The attacks are often fire-based and deal stun damage, making him a reliable superhero for most encounters. Whilst Cosmic Ghost Rider isn't the best at one particular area, he is an overall well-rounded superhero in Marvel Cosmic Invasion.

Light Attack

Cosmic Ghost Rider's light attacks are a standout when you compare him to other melee superheroes, and that particularly has to do with his range.

The early strikes are quick and short with his chain whip, whereas the third has the chain follow a wide arc, allowing you to hit enemies even further.

This makes it so that you'll be able to hit enemies above and even behind you, and the final strike deals a decent amount of damage and can even hit multiple enemies at once. Making his light attacks particularly great at crowd control.

Sprint Attack

For his sprint attack, Cosmic Ghost Rider will dash horizontally across the screen and leave a trail of fire behind him, in a straight line. 

Going back and forth whilst doing the sprint attack can be a great way of inflicting damage, especially when it comes to damaging enemies in groups, as they tend to get launched up and fall into the flames.

Charged Attack

For Cosmic Ghost Rider's charged attack, he spins his chain like a lasso. And when it's fully charged, the chain shoots across the entire screen. You'll be able to grab enemies and reel them in. Enemies that are in the path of the chain will also be hit.

This attack also serves as a grab and an AOE crowd-control attack. Whenever you land a kill with Cosmic Ghost Rider's charge attack, you'll restore the ammo for his range attack; this is particularly useful in longer fights.

Ranged Attack

Cosmic Ghost Rider’s ranged attack has him fire from his shotgun; tapping it releases the shots in bursts, whereas holding it does rapid fire. It does deal a decent amount of damage; however, it can be challenging to connect all shots if the enemy is far away, breaking the attack chain.

Aerial Attack

Cosmic Ghost Rider’s aerial attack is probably one of the strongest tools in his arsenal. Propel his launch, he leaves behind a flaming strike that deals AoE cosmic damage to nearby enemies, making it an effective way of dealing with hordes of enemies. On his way down, he does a downward kick that pairs well with his initial jump, finishing most enemies off. 

Special Attack

For Cosmic Ghost Rider’s special, he spawns in his Hellcycle and runs over all the enemies covering the entirety of the screen.

It’s great for making space and to use when things get too headed; however, it can be pretty lacklustre when you compare it to the damage output of other superhero specials.

Passive & Assist

Cosmic Ghost Rider’s passive restores his ammo whenever he defeats an enemy. It’s a relatively modest power when you compare it to other superheroes.

When Cosmic Ghost Riser plays as an assist character, he can bring a lot to the table with his ranged light attacks and sprint attack, easing the control for space.

Cosmic Ghost Rider in Marvel Cosmic Invasion is a consistent performer and balanced throughout without any glaring weakness; his kit can be considered fun to play, with his stable damage output making him a dependable and versatile superhero.
