Marvel's Spider-Man 2 offers tons of incredible suits to unlock as you level up. However, some suits can only be acquired by completing specific side activities, making them easy to miss if you’re not thorough. In this guide, we’ll walk through eight of the most elusive suits in the game, along with a few personal favorites that are packed with Easter eggs.
Last Hunt Suit
This Kraven-inspired "Last Hunt" suit is available for both Peter and Miles. The standout feature is the lion's mane on the back, along with knife inserts on the gloves and boots.
To unlock it, you must complete all 11 Hunter Blinds scattered around the city, followed by the four Hunter Bases that unlock afterward. Hunter Blinds are found on rooftops and often involve battling enemies while gathering intel on nearby Hunter Bases.
Pro tip: Use traps and disable reinforcements during these missions to make fights quicker and easier. Once unlocked, you can craft four alternate styles. My favorites include the ones with white pants for a bold look, but the dark version is sleek, too.
Smoke and Mirrors Suit
This Mysterio-inspired suit is exclusive to Miles. It features a bowl-shaped helmet with a Spider-Man eye design, making it a unique and stylish addition.
To unlock it, complete all nine Mysteriums around the city. Doing so will unlock a final, tenth challenge with a boss fight. You only need to earn a bronze medal in these challenges to obtain the suit.
The suit also offers multiple customizable styles. My top pick is the elegant white-and-gold variation, though the red version, while less "Mysterio-like," is a great subtle option.
Life Story Suit
This suit is available for both Peter and Miles and comes with a bonus—a special cutscene involving a familiar character.
To get it, complete all nine EMF experiments found throughout the city. These missions involve meaningful tasks like creating GMO plants and helping organizations tackle world hunger. Completing them triggers a final objective that takes you to Aunt May’s House, where a new cutscene plays in the garage.
The suit’s design stands out, with a Formula 1-inspired aesthetic. It comes in multiple color options, such as orange and white, making it a must-have for both heroes.
Saving Lives Suit
This vigilante-style suit is exclusive to Peter and is unlocked by completing “The Flame” side quest chain, which includes four missions. These side quests introduce a mysterious character and foreshadow future DLC or even a sequel.
The suit features white and red accents with gold inserts, making it visually striking. While it may not be a favorite for everyone, it’s a meaningful addition for fans of Peter’s storyline.
City Sounds Suit
Miles can unlock this jazz-inspired suit by completing the two “Cultural Museum” side missions. The second mission becomes available after completing Main Mission 14.
The suit, complete with a fedora and leather gloves, has a classic look reminiscent of the 1920s jazz era. It’s a stylish nod to Miles’ character and cultural background.
Boricua Suit
Miles earns this suit by completing four side quests at his high school. These quests are longer than usual but add depth to his story. At the end, the students gift Miles this suit, which features the Puerto Rican flag on the chest.
It also offers alternative color styles, making it a great way to represent Miles’ roots.
Best There Is Suit
Inspired by Wolverine, this suit for Miles is unlocked at levels 50-52. Its jacket and headpiece resemble Wolverine’s costume, hinting at Insomniac’s upcoming Wolverine game.
Alternate styles include yellow and orange variations that enhance the Wolverine aesthetic. While it doesn’t grant special powers, it’s still an awesome suit for X-Men fans.
The King in Black Suit
This Miles-exclusive symbiote suit pairs perfectly with Peter’s symbiote suit. Half of the suit features alien-like textures, and the spider emblem has a more alien design.
To unlock it, complete all 10 symbiote nests scattered throughout the city. These challenges appear later in the game but can also be completed post-story. Alternate styles include a red version reminiscent of Carnage and a striking white-and-black option with intricate textures.
Absolute Carnage Suit
Unlocked at level 60, this Carnage-inspired suit features red tendrils and a sinister design. While its tendrils don’t move, it still stands out among the game’s 63 outfits.
Color variations include darker tones and grayish whites, with red being the most eye-catching. It’s a great choice for New Game Plus or completing your suit collection.
