MIO: Memories in Orbit Guide | How to Get All Old Cores

In MIO: Memories in Orbit, Old Cores are a currency you can spend at Mel’s shop. There are 39 in total, and none of them are missable. If you find every single one, you will unlock The Collector trophy.

Early and World Exploration Cores

The first few are found by exploring the world and talking to NPCs. You can get one after beating the boss Acat by walking through the gates. Others are sitting on high platforms or tucked away under roots.

Talking to Ollantay or other characters on the upper ledges will also earn you a few. You can even find one by dropping through leaves or sliding down long slopes in MIO: Memories in Orbit.

Finding Hidden Spots

Many cores are in places you might miss. Check to the right of the lift for a hidden room or look above the door when leaving the lift area.

You can find another by climbing the outside of a building using debris to get a boost. Some are hidden in ice gaps or behind fans that blow air down. If you see a narrow gap or a hole in the ceiling, try climbing up to see if a core is waiting at the end of the path.

Grappling and Platforming Cores

As you get more abilities, you can reach tougher spots. Use your grapple points to finish platforming sections or to reach the top corners of large rooms in MIO: Memories in Orbit.

Some cores require you to use bombs to jump higher or to slide across ice platforms to reach a far wall. Talking to Harpagon or climbing to the top of the Pagoda will also reward you with a core.

The Pit and Late Game Cores

The Pit holds several cores. You will need to climb under rocks near liquid, drop down holes where rocks are falling, or navigate around liquid balls to reach "outside" areas.

There is even one core hidden in a secret spot high up in the Nexus. You can reach it by floating up and looking for a hole on the right side of the room in MIO: Memories in Orbit.
