Finding the Key Boss

Start at the City Gates Checkpoint. This is the closest spot to where you need to go. Head out and move upward through the area.

Use your Hairpin to swing across the gaps as you climb. You will eventually see a locked door that requires the Old-Fashioned Key in MIO: Memories in Orbit.

If you do not have it yet, you must defeat a specific boss nearby. From the locked door, move across the rooftops and head all the way to the left. Drop down into the arena to face Cauldron, the Unyielding Furnace.

Defeating Cauldron

Cauldron has a lot of health, so watch your own life bar closely. The Dodge mechanic is very important for this fight in MIO: Memories in Orbit.

When the boss brings his arms down to strike, use your dodge to move out of the way or shift quickly to the sides. Keep attacking until the furnace is destroyed. Once you win the fight, walk to the right side of the arena.

You will find an item labeled as an unknown object. Pick it up to finally get the Old-Fashioned Key.

Using the Key

Now that you have the key, go back to the locked door you found earlier. You can enter from either side. Inside, you will find things to look at and interact with. Go to the top left area inside this room to grab a new modifier called the Sharpened Hairpin.

There is also a lift in this building that takes you to a completely different part of the map. Explore the area well to find any other gear hidden inside in MIO: Memories in Orbit.
