If you want to wear more modifiers at once, you need to find Mod Extensions. There are 7 of these in MIO: Memories in Orbit, and each one gives you 10 more slots to use. You can get all of them at any time, even after you finish the story.

Finding Extensions in the World

You can find the first two while exploring. For the first Mod Extension, look for a pipe high above you and climb inside. The item is waiting in the room at the top in MIO: Memories in Orbit.

To find the second one, look for a large mushroom. There is a hidden path on top of it. Follow that path and finish the platforming section to find the extension at the end.

Buying Extensions from Mel

The rest of the extensions are sold by Mel at his shop. You can buy the third and fourth ones as soon as his shop opens. The others require you to rescue his friends first:

Mod Extension 5 becomes available after you save Sin, and Mod Extension 6 and Mod Extension #7 can be bought after you rescue Tan in MIO: Memories in Orbit.
