You encounter Senda at the end of Zephyr Fields, the first area in Aeolia. This fight introduces arena-wide hazards, projectile patterns, and positioning checks.
Success depends on spacing, timing, and understanding when you can safely attack. This guide explains each phase of the fight and how to respond to each pattern.

Senda Location And Arena Setup
The arena is vast and open, with floating rings positioned around the edges. These rings act as attack sources during several mechanics.
You need to stay aware of your position relative to both Senda and the arena boundaries, since most damage comes from overlapping hazards rather than direct contact in Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault.
First Phase Overview
At the start of the fight, Senda uses a spinning melee attack. If you get close during this action, you take damage. At the same time, the floating rings around the arena activate and begin firing projectiles after a short delay.
You should move from the top of the arena to the bottom, or the reverse, while rolling to avoid incoming shots. Keeping distance from Senda prevents damage during this sequence. In this pattern, the only reliable way to deal damage is to use your gun.

Afterward, Senda moves to one side of the arena and summons fans who block access. He throws fans toward you, but only the purple fan can be interacted with. When the purple fan appears, use your backpack to send it back at Senda. This interaction happens twice before the pattern ends.
Center Airstream Attack
Next, Senda moves to the center of the arena and creates an airstream around himself. Contact with this area deals damage. While the airstream is active, he also fires multiple projectiles outward in Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault.
You should move to a corner of the arena and shift left and right to avoid the projectiles. You can use your gun to deal damage during this pattern while maintaining distance.
Ring Rotation Pattern
Senda can summon two large rings that rotate around the arena while he fires three projectiles at you. There is a short delay before the projectiles appear.
Your focus should be on dodging the rotating rings first. When openings appear, you can move in briefly and strike Senda with your melee weapon before retreating.

End Of First Phase Transition
When Senda reaches roughly half health, he destroys the center of the arena and moves there. Three rings spawn close to him, with two additional rings positioned near the arena edges. The three inner rings begin rolling outward toward the two outer rings.
You should stay near the end of the arena and wait for a gap to align. Roll through the opening toward Senda. He then fires a volley of small projectiles, signaling the end of the first phase.
Second Phase Changes
The second phase repeats the same attack patterns with one difference. When Senda performs the center projectile barrage, he also throws a large ring that follows you in Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault.
You should continue using corner positioning, moving side to side to avoid projectiles, while tracking the chasing ring. No other mechanics change during this phase.

Rewards For Defeating Senda
After defeating Senda, you can open two chests in the arena. You also obtain the King's Left Mask, which is required to craft the Aetherium Heart weapon in Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault.
