Difficulty increases once you reach The Gallery, the second world in Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault. You encounter enemies with new attack patterns, relics that apply Shock, and Thunder perks for weapons.
This area also introduces a new boss, The Curator, whose fight focuses on lasers, positioning, and precise rolls. Most of the encounter requires you to manage restricted floor space while responding to overlapping attacks.

Boss Location and Overview
You encounter The Curator at the end of your run in the Exhibition Wing, located in The Gallery. The fight is structured as a totem-style encounter. You must track both the main structure and several auxiliary devices that remain active throughout most of the battle.
First Phase Mechanics
During the first phase, you must focus on The Curator while also tracking three devices positioned on the sides and top of the arena. These devices continuously fire small projectiles and cannot be ignored. The main body of The Curator is the primary target.
The arena floor displays highlighted lines. The Curator illuminates one of these lines, then moves in that direction and releases lasers around itself in Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault.
You have about four seconds between the line lighting up and the attack beginning. Use this time to attack the boss.
After you reduce around twenty percent of The Curator’s health, the laser paths extend into longer vertical lines. You must account for the increased range. Keep attacking until the bottom part of the boss goes purple, then use your backpack to kill it.

Shield Phase and Laser Patterns
After losing one section, The Curator enters the next phase with fewer parts and gains a shield. To break the shield, you must use your backpack to throw small ruptured objects that the boss ejects. If these objects explode, they generate shockwaves that you must jump over.
When throwing objects, ensure you are facing The Curator; missed throws waste the projectile.
Once the shield is removed, the Curator remains at the center of the arena and fires four lasers that span the entire space. These lasers rotate counterclockwise. Roll over them to avoid damage in Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault.
Throughout this sequence, the three external devices continue firing projectiles, so you must keep moving.
Shockwave Attacks and Damage Windows
After the laser rotation, the Curator charges the shockwaves for about three seconds, then releases them. Roll over the shockwaves while moving toward the boss.
This creates a damage window while it prepares the next wave. If your gun is loaded, this is also an opportunity to deal ranged damage in Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault.

Following several shockwave cycles, The Curator returns to ejecting ruptured objects. These attacks alternate until you deal around sixty percent damage. At that point, you can once again destroy the lower totem section using your backpack.
Final Phase with Split Totems
In the final phase, the last detached totem remains active instead of disappearing. This separated part uses laser stampede attacks similar to those from the first phase. Meanwhile, the remaining section of The Curator continues firing ruptured objects.
During this phase, you can attack either the remaining body of The Curator or the detached totem. Focus on whichever target is within reach and not actively attacking.
The most demanding sequence occurs when both entities use lasers simultaneously. First, the outer perimeter of the arena is electrified, drawing you toward the center.
Then the totem, which is not attached to anything, moves back and forth, shoots a laser, and the Curator sends shockwaves in Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault.
Another variation includes The Curator using the four-laser rotation while the detached totem also fires its laser. You must time your rolls carefully and aim to clear both laser paths with a single roll whenever possible. These patterns repeat until the fight ends.

Rewards
Defeating The Curator grants you two loot chests and the Quantum Core material. This item is used to craft the Blo-Beam gun. Completing the fight also finishes the side quest The Jail Of The Lustrous, and Babyl rewards you with the recipe for The Rectifier.
