Planet of Lana II Guide | How to Pet Mui Everywhere

Pet Mui in every part of the journey and lock in the Purrfect trophy/achievement without replays.

The Purrfect requirement is easy, but it's easy to "almost" finish it. You have to pet Mui once in every part of the game where you can. The prompt usually shows up when Lana is nearby, standing still, and Mui is next to you. If the prompt doesn't show up, take a step back, come back, and stop moving for a second so the interaction can happen.

The Safe Route: Pet Once at the Start of Each New Part

The quickest way to get used to a new part is to pet Mui right away. Do it right after a cutscene ends, when the game changes locations or when a big change happens. This keeps the checklist neat and stops you from forgetting a quiet part later.

Don't force a part to become tense right away if it does. Go to the first calm spot, then pet Mui before the next danger. That one short break will save you a lot of time later on.

Parts That Don't Let You Pet

In some parts, you can't pet Mui at all. Don't waste time looking for a prompt when Mui isn't there or when the game locks you into a different flow. Keep going and start petting again as soon as Mui gets back and the game goes back to its normal pace of exploration.

Chapter Select for Quick Cleanup

If the achievement doesn't unlock near the end, it's usually because you missed one part, not a lot of them. Use Chapter Select to load the parts you remember rushing through. As soon as you take control, stand next to Mui, wait for the prompt, pet her once, and then leave. This is faster than going back over long stretches, and it keeps the run neat.

Quick Fixes if the Prompt Doesn't Show Up

If the pet prompt doesn't show up in a place where Mui is clearly with you, stop moving, make sure Mui is right next to Lana, and try again on flat ground. If that doesn't work, move forward a few steps until the game takes full control again, and then try again. During tight "movement-only" beats, the interaction is usually turned off and comes back on right after.
