Where to Find Them

Rare Crates of Shells are the best source. These are the green ones that have a cannon icon on the lid. They can be seen at smaller sites such as shipwrecks and abandoned camps occasionally, but at named sites, towns, forts and other large sites, there are more of them.

What to Expect Inside

There is a high likelihood of finding Metal Rods in most Rare Crates of Shells, as well as other combat items that can be collected. Whenever you spot one, open it.
