One of those items you'll want to have a stash of in SAND: Raiders of Sophie is High-Grade Gunpowder, which unlocks the higher tier Tech Tree upgrades and some of the more advanced gear in the game. It is not a frequent dropper, so location is important if you are looking for a regular supply.

Where It Shows Up

It's not common in small places. The loot containers are more likely to be found at higher tiers at named locations such as large towns and other landmarks on the islands.

The Best Source

High-Grade Gunpowder is occasionally found in Rare Weapons Crates, but that's not the place to look. The most consistent source is Very Rare Parts Crates, the red colored ones. Whenever you spot one, loot it right away. These crates will almost always provide you with High-Grade Gunpowder and other materials that you will need later in the game.

Farming It Efficiently

When you're going to farm this resource, do so in larger settlements and industrial areas, as they will generate multiple high tier crates. Look everywhere while you're there. There are a lot of side buildings and hidden corners that are overlooked, and that one crate you walk past might be the one you're looking for.

Getting Out Safely

This type of loot attracts a lot of attention, from hostile NPCs and other players. Be vigilant during the search and ensure that you get it all back when you're finished, otherwise you won't get any of the High-Grade Gunpowder back with you.
