In Solarpunk, cobalt is a resource that will be required throughout the game for crafting, so it's important to establish a regular supply early on. This guide will explain where to get it and how to keep it coming in.

Finding Cobalt

You'll come across Cobalt nodes on third tier islands. At this tier there is also a stone node on one of the islands which can be collected if more stone is required for brick building, etc. The cobalt node is the main attraction and that's where you'll want to put your mining rig.

Drills and Drones: Set Up

You can have a Cobalt Drone collect the resource for you, but it will take a while as it moves slowly. A larger windmill can be installed at the node to enable two drills to be used at the same time instead of one, to maintain cobalt flow. One node can have multiple drills and two is a typical configuration. Note: If you are doing two drills, you will need two drones, one for each collection box.
