Solarpunk Guide | How to Take Care of Pigs

In Solarpunk, as you continue to work through your blueprints, you'll also be adding pigs to your base, and once they're in place, they require very little upkeep. This guide will explain where they can be found and what they require.

Where to Find Pigs

As you progress through your blueprint, you will first unlock the spots that will allow you to place pigs, also known as Muck Pens. The pigs are only found on the outermost islands. So far, there are no animals on snow islands, but venture further out and you'll begin to see pigs. They also share space with other animals, for example, sheep and chickens appearing on the same islands.

Feeding and Watering

After pigs are in place, the only true need is to maintain a supply of feed and water. This is easy with the Automated Waterer and Automated Feeder, and if you have one for each animal you own, it will save you a lot of work. A waterer of this type will keep watering itself, and you will never have to fill it up by hand.

Getting Truffles

Once their needs are met, pigs will begin to produce Truffles on their own. Unlike the other games, there is no looting in this game, the truffles simply appear over time. The whole system is self-contained, so you don't have to touch the pigs at any point.
