Quest Choices

When speaking to the quest giver, you have two possible choices:

Option 1: Report Quill-Weave

If you tell the quest giver that Quill-Weave was behind the rat problem, you will receive 200 gold as a reward. Additionally, your Speech Craft skill will increase, giving you some experience points in that particular skill.

Option 2: Protect Quill-Weave

If you say that Quill-Weave had nothing to do with the rat problem, you will still get the 200-gold reward when you return to Quill-Weave afterward. However, instead of Speech Craft experience, you will receive Agility experience.

Outcome

Your decision depends on which skill you prefer to improve: Speech Craft or Agility. After completing the quest, you can proceed to the Fighters Guild. They don't care about the outcome of your decision—they only care that the quest was completed.

The choice depends on which skill you want to enhance in your character build.
