A guide on how to break enemy shields in The Rogue Prince of Persia.

When you progress through The Rogue Prince of Persia, you face foes empowered by Hun magic. Some enemies carry an extra layer of protection that changes how you approach combat.
These shields appear as a blue bar layered over the usual red health bar, and you cannot damage these enemies or use kicks on them until the shield is removed. This guide explains the ways you can break these shields and how you can respond safely when they attack.

Understanding How Shields Work
Enemies with shields resist all incoming damage until you remove that blue bar. You also cannot kick or push them, which means you lose a major control tool unless you find a way to strip their protection. Once the shield breaks, you regain access to kicks and follow-ups that allow you to control the fight.
Breaking Shields With Primary Weapons
Your first method is direct attacks. Use your primary weapon — whether it is a Sword, Dagger, Axe, or another weapon type — to remove the shield through repeated hits. When the shield breaks, the enemy becomes vulnerable to all forms of damage and movement-based actions, including kicks.
Breaking Shields by Colliding Enemies
Enemies without shields can be moved with kicks, which creates an opportunity to use one foe against another. If you kick a regular enemy into one holding a shield, the collision breaks the shield instantly.
Both enemies enter a brief stun, giving you time to reposition or strike again. This method depends on enemy placement, but it removes shields without using weapon durability or exposing yourself to extra hits.
Breaking Shields by Kicking Objects
During your run, you encounter objects in the environment that you can kick toward enemies. Sending one of these objects into a shielded foe removes the shield in a single impact. This works even when enemy positioning is not ideal, though these objects do not appear often, so this method is situational.

Tips for Handling Shielded Enemies
Shielded enemies survive more hits than others, so it is common for them to attack while you are trying to break their shield. If you see a shielded foe preparing an attack, look for a nearby enemy and kick them into the shielded one to remove the shield and create a stun window.
If you face only one enemy with a shield, focus on reading their movement and avoid their swings. Strike between attacks, back away whenever they prepare to hit, then return to press your advantage. Once the shield drops, continue your offense with regular attacks and kicks.
