New Pokémon Snap Announced For Nintendo Switch

Today Nintendo and The Pokémon Company announced New Pokémon Snap. The game is a brand new version of Pokémon Snap, which originally launched for the N64 in 1999. The game was a one of a kind experience, allowing players to take in the breathtaking Pokémon world, and snap shots of every single Pokémon that they could see for points and high scores. 

New Pokémon Snap was announced during today's Pokémon Presents livestream event, and was the only game of note to be shown. It seems as though Nintendo is pushing for more mobile games, which have better revenue streams, but all Pokémon fans want is this incredible new adventure with Pokémon Snap mechanics. 

While a release date hasn't been confirmed for New Pokémon Snap just yet, it's likely that the game will launch this year, potentially alongside The Crown Tundra expansion for Pokémon Sword and Shield. 

Pokémon Snap was a great game because it had so many hidden secrets to capture. High scores relied on players noticing the small details, but they went by so fast that it was almost impossible to capture them all without a guide. Hopefully New Pokémon Snap will be just as intriguing.
