Breath of the Wild Sequel Announced: Tears of the Kingdom

Nintendo finally gave in and announced the long-awaited sequel for the latest installment of the Legend of Zelda series, Breath of the Wild. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is confirmed to come out on May 12, 2023 for Nintendo Switch. Fans are happy to have finally received some great news after such a long wait, and we are thrilled to be announcing it.

To put the long wait into context: Breath of the Wild was released in 2017, and its sequel was announced in 2019. We had no news from the game since then. But finally, in the latest Nintendo Direct, we had the opportunity to see a very short trailer. The new teaser shows the main character Link as he flies through Hyrule, and it is more than enough to make the fans excited for the new game.
 

 

Tears of the Kingdom is available to pre-order in the US Amazon and Best Buy at $59,99. If you pre-order the game on Amazon and the price decreases until it comes out, you pay the lowest amount when you get your hands on the game. The UK price differs though, while some sellers will charge you £59,99, some of them offer discounts. You might want to check and compare in order to get the best price available.

Nintendo Direct also revealed some new sequels and upcoming games for the Nintendo Switch, but many of the fans agree that the sequel to Zelda was the pièce de resistance of the event. From the very short video, we see a glimpse of what is to come, but nothing other than the date and price has been revealed yet. Nonetheless, the fans are excited for the future of Hyrule- And eager to join Link in this new adventure!
