Shelter 2 Releasing this Fall

Might and Delight's 2013 game Shelter follows a mother badger as she protects her cubs from the elements, predators and starvation. Sticking to the theme, the recently revealed Shelter 2 will have players taking control of a mother lynx as she cycles through pregnancy, birth and parenthood.

Shelter 2 expands on the original with larger environments and more gameplay features. Stamina, movements and a larger variety of prey are included among the new features, with new maternal gameplay such as calling cubs closer and carrying the cubs away from harm there to really make you feel motherly.

"We are basing the game features on the lynx´s life and behavior. That aspect makes  Shelter 2 closer to realism, and oddly enough more gamey at the same time. To simply roam the world finding prey to hunt is thrilling in itself. That´s something  we wanted to bring in to Shelter before, and it’s fantastic to see it come to life now," said Anders Westin, CEO of Might and Delight.

As with Shelter, Shelter 2 will have some interesting visuals and a soundtrack to match the environment. Might and Delight's award winning Pid soundtrack was created by the musical trio Retro Family, and the group is returning to work on the soundtrack for Shelter 2. Moreover, dense atmosphere and lighting have been added to the art-style of Shelter, making for some revamped visuals to really bring the game together.
