Consider the Crimson Fiend set if you're running a greatsword build. This set is fantastic for anyone who likes to perform heavy attacks, charge power moves, and mortal blows since the whole set is based on those actions. By linking these powerful attacks together, you can create one of the most potent playstyles in the game.
Core Perks and Enraged Playstyle
Even wearing just two pieces of the set provides significant benefits. Whenever you're enraged, under 50% stamina, you deal 15% extra damage. You also gain constant bonus damage on charge attacks and restore stamina whenever you land a mortal attack.
Once you equip the fifth and sixth perks, you'll take 30% less damage while under 50% stamina, which is invaluable for surviving tricky situations, and you'll deal a whole bunch more damage when using your wall-to-blow.
Advanced Unlock: Mortal Blow Murderous
If you reach New Game+ or acquire an epic sword after defeating the campaign's main boss, the set will grant an extraordinary move by default and unlock the Mortal Blow Murderous skill. This skill lets you spam charge attacks like never before, instantly charging a mortal blow if you activate it immediately after Savage Momentum. This devastating combination makes the set even more formidable.
Locating the Crimson Fiend Scroll
You must first find the Crimson Fiend scroll to get the whole set. You can start the first quest in the Hermit Mountains after going to the Rafflin Mountains. From the stop in Hermit Cave, keep going straight and then turn right where the road splits.
Follow the clear highway past all the monsters. You can stay away from them if you're just after the scroll. If not, you can kill them however you like. You'll find the scroll after going around the pink tree into a small nook.
Crafting the Crimson Fiend Armor
Once you have the scroll, return to your blacksmith. You can craft each armor set piece and the associated weapon without needing any rare boss loot resources, making it much faster and easier to assemble than many other sets.
