Post-launch support for BattleTech will focus on bugfixing and addressing community complaints.

After last week's launch, BattleTech developer Harebrained Schemes stated that the game was received well enough to allow for work on post-launch support. While a roadmap for the next year is currently being planned alongside publisher Paradox Interactive, we now know what to expect in the near future. The team is aware of the performance issues some players encountered and are investigating them. Localizations for French, German and Russian languages alongside Linux support are also in the works, however no ETA was given.

A bugfixing patch is expected to drop later this month, while a bigger free update is scheduled to arrive in June/July. The team is looking at options for accelerating combat, MechWarrior customization for all members of your Lance, the ability to skip tutorials and a handful of other things. You can see all the details in the announcement. While  the developer would love to put out "a larger paid content Expansion or two", the focus of post-launch updates in the near future will be bugfixing and addressing various player complaints.
