Final Fantasy 7 is one of the most acclaimed games in the RPG genre and fans have been looking forward to the remake for some time. Square Enix decided to open their presentation at E3 2019 with a bang. Showing off active gameplay of the remake.
We see that players can switch between fighters and use an active combat system similar to Kingdom Hearts where you select specific actions. In addition, players can target specific points as Barret shoots the legs of the Guard Scorpion. In addition, Square Enix provided a longer version of the original trailer that debuted yesterday at the Final Fantasy concert.
The trailer shows off not only the combat with the Guard Scorpion but a glimpse at Tifa Lockhart, Aerith in battle, and even Marlene. Tifa is still a large melee fighter while Aerith is a healer and caster first. It's so much but fans will recognize the major boss fights included a first look at Sephiroth.
Lastly, we got a look at the 1st class edition. This includes a steelbook case, a Cloud statue on his motorcycle, 3 bonus summon material (Cactuar/Carbuncle/Chocobo Chick), art book, and soundtrack.
Final Fantasy 7: Remake launches on March 3rd for PS4.
