Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players have yet another chance to face off against a returning Tera Raid Boss as the raids against Decidueye, the Unrivaled, have come to an end. This time around, we will be seeing the valiant return of Blissey, the Happiness Pokémon. This will be the second time that players will be facing off against this powerful force, and will also be a chance for players to snag valuable rewards such as Rare Candy and Tera Shards of various types, two highly valuable items that are great for team building.
While this is the second time we will be facing off against the egg-shaped tank, things won't be the same as last time. Unlike the previous Tera Raid with Blissey, which usually precedes a tough 7-star raid with Pokémon Scarlet and Violet seeming giving players a bit of a breather after difficult battles such as the previous raid boss, Decidueye. The Hisuan owl Grass Fighting archer tested players' skills against physical attackers. Decidueye had a lethal moveset which included moves such as Leaf Blade, Shadow Claw, Brave Bird and of course, Triple Arrows. In order to have a fighting chance against the deadly physical attacker, players had to rely on the Pokémon Violet exclusives, Ceruledge and Iron Moth. However, this Blissey encounter seems to be a little more different from the rest.
Blissey will once again be making an appearance in 5-Star Tera Raid Dens according to Serebii.net. Players will be able to face off against Blissey from 8:00pm EST, Thursday, 19 October 2023 until 7:59pm EST, Sunday, 22 October 2023. As mentioned before, this isn't the first time we're facing the egg holding Pokémon, as Blissey was one of the Pokémon players faced off against in Tera Raids back in August and was intended to help players prepare to face Mewtwo, the Unrivaled. This time around, Blissey will once again have any Tera-type, and will probably have moves such as Seismic Toss and Softboiled as its attack and healing moves.
As many have suspected, the return of Blissey is no coincidence, as she was meant to prepare players for Mewtwo, the Unrivaled but many players have suspected that the return of Blissey could instead mean that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players are being prepared for the second half of the game's DLC, The Indigo Disk; Whose release is most likely around the corner. Blissey will only be available from a short time, so players should take advantage of this opportunity while they can.
