Battlefield 2042 Official Gameplay Trailer Reveals Grappling Hook

Titanfall's grappling hook makes it into Battlefield 2042

Battlefield 2042 is the next major installment in the legendary franchise and today DICE and EA revealed the first gameplay trailer for the title. And it looks amazing.

The trailer features everything from vehicle combat, the grappling hook, and levolution. The city map showing being actively covered in sand due to a massive sand tornado that travels throughout the map, destroying vehicles, sucking in players, and making it difficult to see. That's not all as we get a glimpse at a snow level and space shuttle launch station.

In terms of new gameplay features, players can swap attachments mid-match and use a grappling hook to reach high areas. There are also supply drops that resemble the Commander Mode from Battlefield 4 where a player could provide players with supplies, issue commands, and disrupt enemy player's HUDs.

Battlefield 2042 launches on October 22nd for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC. Early access versions go live on October 15th.
