Before We Leave Confirms PlayStation Release

Before We Leave is now available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, thanks to Team17 and Balancing Monkey Games. The game takes place in six diverse biomes, and players are tasked with helping 'Peeps,' recently emerged survivors of a worldwide catastrophe, realize their dreams of rebuilding a prosperous society. A rich future for Peep-dom will be built via the exploration of new regions and the study of old technology. Check out the official launch trailer.

 

To prevent their planets from being annihilated by passing Space Whales, the inhabitants of this developing civilization must be careful of their influence on the environment and the well-being of their Peeps.

In brief, players can form a lowly settlement into a vast civilization of Peeps, and they will have to cross mountains, woods, seas, and even outer space to discover, construct, and prosper. Players may advance their civilization by researching technological advances in maritime navigation, manufacturing, commerce, etc. They will also need to maintain track of their Peeps' happiness and food, resources, and pollution levels while running a colony.

Musicians Benedict Nichols and James Dean of Kau Audio have won a Pav award for excellence in audio for their work on The Falconeer, which has a soundscape worthy of any benign ruler.

Developed by the Balancing Monkey Games and published by Team17, Before We Leave initially launched on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One on May 8, 2020. The game can be purchased now on the PlayStation Store, Steam, Epic Games Store, the Microsoft Store, and as part of Xbox Game Pass on all of these platforms and the Xbox Live Arcade. You can take advantage of a 20% discount on the PlayStation Store until April 19th to celebrate the game's debut.
