Castlevania Season Four Trailer Drops

Netflix has released a new trailer for Castlevania season four. This is meant to serve as a conclusion the ongoing story that has focused around the plotlines of Castlevania 3 and Castlevania Curse of Darkness. The trailer shows various segments showcasing Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades hunting vampires, Hector’s imprisonment under Carmillia and her sister Lenore, the rouge forge master Isaac lashing out against humanity, and Alucard venturing out into the world. A central element appears to be the resurrection of Count Dracula, who was previously slain in season two.

This is the final season to be written by series creator Warren Ellis, who departed work on the show following allegations of sexual coercion. Season three was slightly panned, serving as mostly setup that had almost no new revelations or resolutions. Still even if this results in the end of the current narrative, there are other Castlevania games Netflix could adapt. The first season contained references to Castlevania Lament of Innocence, and many fans have expressed optimism of seeing the first protagonist, Simon Belmont, have his own show.
