The development team for Diablo IV teases that something new will be revealed during the upcoming Blizzard developer livestream, that something has something to do with "corruption". The Livestream is an event that many players have been eagerly waiting for, especially since the Livestream will go into detail about all the things that will be coming in the game's Season 1. However, the teaser could be hinting at something that may surprise some players.

Diablo IV has been a smash hit for both players and developers as the fourth entry into the dungeon delving game series has been receiving high praise thanks to the game's frequent updates. Thanks to this, many players are dying to know what's next for the game and what do the developers have in store for them. Up until now, Blizzard has been keeping quiet on what expansions and DLC content will be coming to the game, hopefully, the upcoming developer Livestream will shed some light onto the type of content we will be getting.

On the official Diablo IV Twitter account, the developers once again confirmed the schedule for the game's second official developer Livestream. The Livestream will take place on 6 July 2023, at 11:00 AM PDT. Along with this reconfirmation, the developers also shared a short teaser trailer that showed the map of Sanctuary as it slowly gets covered on a strange and unusual black liquid. The teaser then simply ends with the tag "Corruption is spreading". As to what this means, we are unsure but it could be implying that something dark is corrupting the world and players will most likely have to figure out what it is and put a stop to it.

The teaser doesn't just stop at the trailer, as Diablo's General Manager, Rob Fergusson, even joined in on the teasing, stating that it might be he himself who is slowly corrupting the world of Diablo IV. While Fergusson was not originally meant to appear on the upcoming Developer Livestream, his humorous tweet does seem to imply that he would be attending to possibly discuss some of the things coming to Diablo IV's Season 1. The last-minute addition of Fergusson has raised a few suspicions, as many players believe that this is enough of confirmation that something big will be revealed during the livestream.

Hopefully, whatever gets shown off during the upcoming Developer Livestream will be something that players have been waiting for or maybe it will be something entirely unexpected. We will have to wait and see.
