Imagine being so popular and successful you cannot keep up with people wanting access to your product, well Square Enix is facing that right now. Square Enix is giving those who have an active subscription as of December 21st, regardless of whether they have multiple accounts, 14 days free.

The upcoming Pandæmonium: Asphodelos (Savage) in Patch 6.05, scheduled for Tuesday, January 4, 2022, will still happen unless major unexpected issues occur. Square Enix is attempting to resolve the logging-in issues by creating a new data center but due to the pandemic delays are expected.

The surge of players is due to a number of reasons with 1 of them being the mass exodus of players from World of Warcraft. Many fans argue that Blizzard Entertainment's massive title has been failing to deliver combined with the company's unpopular decisions to attack content creators and the recent exposure of Activision Blizzard's toxic work environment. Where female employees were harassed and sexually assaulted by executives who used positions of power to abuse their workers.
