Fleet Carriers Update Available Now In Elite Dangerous
Get ready to explore deep space with your friends

After two betas, a number of delays, and a crippling price for the upkeep of these ships that made them unusable at one point, Fleet Carriers are finally available in Elite Dangerous.
Fleet Carriers are now available to purchase for all players in Elite Dangerous on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. These ships are gigantic, allowing multiple players to travel together, and even act as a trading hub for others.
A Fleet Carrier has a jump range of 500-light-years, meaning they provide a brand new platform for deep space exploration. A group of players can now survey an entire system in hours, rather than a single player doing all the work over the course of weeks.
The real benefit of a Fleet Carrier though is the ability to basically travel home to a safe space wherever you are. Normally players would need to either return to a space station, or leave their precious ship drifting out in an unknown system while they go offline. A Fleet Carrier ensures that everyone is safe and secure no matter what time of day it is, or where they are.
Up to 16 players can gather together in one Fleet Carrier, opening up all kinds of possibilities. This update is going to change the way that people play Elite Dangerous once again, and it can only be for the better since it’s designed to make the most of co-op experiences.
