No Story DLC for Marvel's Spider-Man 2

There will be no Story DLC for Marvel's Spider-Man 2. At the 2024 New York Comic Con, developer Insomniac Games revealed that, other than the PC port, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will not receive any additional content or expansions. Today, during the Marvel Showcase at the New York Comic-Con 2024, Insomniac revealed that their highly renowned Spider-Man game will be available on PC on January 30, 2025, through Steam and the Epic Game Store.

So it's no longer necessary to speculate about Marvel's Spider-Man 2 because Insomniac Games has announced that they do not intend to add any further plot content to the game. Given how much excitement there was about the Spider-Man 2 story DLC, this is awful for the fan base. Given that Marvel's Spider-Man had a DLC, there has been so much expectation for this game.

Everyone will have to wait a little longer for Marvel's Spider-Man 3 to come out. With so much story-wise set up for Spider-Man 3, Insomniac absolutely must deliver. The pressure is always on Insomniac Games when they're producing games based on such a massive IP, like Spider-Man. The pressure must be immense as they attempt to address some of the criticisms voiced by fans while also delivering a fitting end to Marvel's Spider-Man Trilogy. A different crew from the one responsible for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has been working on it for quite some time. Given that Marvel is now preparing for Wolverine, we shouldn't expect Spider-Man 3 to be released until 2027 at the earliest.

As for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 PC port, Nixxes Software is working actively with Insomniac Games and Marvel Games to develop the PC version. Insomniac has confirmed that there will be two separate versions of the Marvel Spider-Man 2 for PC. Starting with the Standard Edition, which includes the full game, including all the updates since the PlayStation 5 release, 14 new suits, new Symbiote Suit types, NG+, Ultimate Levels, Time of Day settings, post-game achievements, Photo and Action Figure modes, a screen reader, and audio descriptions.

Additionally, there will be a Digital Deluxe Edition that includes all of the upgrades mentioned above in addition to the full game. Miles and Peter will receive an additional 5 unique suits. Miles also gets 5 more skill points, and the Arachnid Rider Suit, the Shadow Spider Suit, and the Web Grabber gadget are all unlocked early.
