Oh boy, here we go: A listing has appeared on Amazon (via Wario64) for yet another Nintendo port coming to Nintendo Switch. None other than the infamous entry in The Legend of Zelda, Skyward Sword, may well be on its way to reappear on a current platform.

As is usually the case with these retailer leaks, there isn't much info on the game, other than the price may be an exorbitant £69,99. Hopefully, this is either not the case or is only the price for a limited Collector's Edition. Entries like Hyrule Warriors Legends on Nintendo 3DS featured a pocket watch, while Link Between Worlds on the same platform had a treasure chest. Each time, the special version tends to dry up quickly, regardless of the added items.

Originally, Skyward Sword was released for the Nintendo Wii, where the franchise took a turn in visuals, as well as the control scheme. Like many Wii games, Skyward Sword made frequent use of motion controls, which led to some criticism in its lifespan, though critical reception remained fairly unphased. Along with maybe the Nintendo DS entries, Skyward Sword is regarded as some of the poorest form in the Zelda series, without fringes like the CD-i stuff, of course.

As Skyward Sword was originally released in 2011, an updated version coming next year would not be out of the ordinary for Nintendo. Twilight Princess, the earlier entry in the series, also got a high definition (HD) port on Nintendo Wii U for its tenth year anniversary.

The question remains: How much would you be willing to pay for an updated version of Skyward Sword? Knowing Nintendo, it's unlikely to be below €40, but it does usually come with quite a bit of shine to the latest version.
