Pokémon's future anniversary celebrations are getting more and more talked about. New rumors say that Nintendo and The Pokémon Company may be working on a "Classic Collection" or "Celebration Collection" with some of the best Pokémon games. The reports come from a mix of insider tips, mysterious social media posts, and new talk about the long-awaited Generation 5 remakes.

In the past few months, several community members and podcast hosts who are known for spreading Pokémon-related reports have said that something big will be revealed on Pokémon Day, which is held every year to honor the series' history. Fans are interested in these hints because they keep bringing up old games, even though none of them reveal a specific project.

The latest rumor started with a mysterious puzzle seen on a report that was posted on Twitter, now known as X.

The mysterious report later brought attention to it. In the puzzle, there is a character who is upset that her favorite songs, "Red" and "Green," can't be streamed anymore and have to be bought separately. A lot of Pokémon fans see this as a reference to Pokémon Red and Green, which were the first games in the series and were released in Japan.

If the guessing is right, it could mean that old Pokémon games will soon be available on their own. These older games might not be locked behind subscription services, but instead can be bought directly on newer devices, like how Pokémon games for the Game Boy were released digitally on the Nintendo 3DS.

The next part of the puzzle talks about a third song called "Black," which can only be downloaded on the "latest iPhone." People who played early-generation Pokémon games think that this line is a hint at Nintendo's next-generation console, which is called the Switch 2. It may also have something to do with Pokémon Black and White, which were Generation 5 games that first came out on the Nintendo DS.

It makes sense from both a historical and a business point of view for old Pokémon games to be brought back in a collection.

As the series gets closer to a big anniversary, bringing old games to newer systems would let longtime fans relive their favorite journeys and teach new players about where Pokémon came from. To add to the rumors, another report came out, which shared a picture of Pokémon Blue and Pokémon Green, which are versions that have traditionally been linked to Western and Japanese releases, respectively. Fans think this could mean that famous games will be re-released in different regions in a way that is similar to how they were first released.

This would be in line with Nintendo's tradition of releasing old games to mark important events. As opposed to making completely new games, making a multi-game collection cartridge with early Pokémon games would be pretty easy, especially since the original software already exists.

At the same time, there is a lot of talk again in the community about Generation 5, which takes place in the Unova area and is based in New York. Pokémon Black and White used to be two of the least popular games in the series, but they've become more popular over time, and now many fans think they're two of the best story-driven games in the series.

Another piece of speculation comes from earlier hints that were shared at the same time by multiple leakers and included images of New York, which fans directly connect with Generation 5.

Even though these hints were never proven, they added to the belief that the Unova games might be remade at some point. In the past, Pokémon remakes have tended to come out later in the console run. In this case, HeartGold and SoulSilver came out in Generation 4, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire came out in Generation 6, and Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl came out in Generation 8. Because of this, a lot of fans think that Generation 5 remakes should come out during the Generation 10 era.

There are rumors that Generation 10 Pokémon games will come out at the same time as Nintendo's next platform, which supports this idea even more. If there is a new generation coming out soon, remakes of Black and White might come out around the same time, maybe in 2027 or later.

There is also talk about an older report, which fans sometimes call the "Teraleak," and which said that future remakes of Pokémon games would be made with more care and attention.

The leak didn't mention Black and White remakes by name in its release schedule, but it did talk about them in a general way, which means that plans for their development may have changed over time. Generation 5 is fun for many players because it's easy to get into and brings back memories. A lot of people who play Pokémon now have never played Black, White, Black 2, or White 2.

A remake or collection could be a way to bring the Unova area back to the attention of new players. Some fans have even suggested a gathering of both Black and White games, along with their follow-ups. An increasing number of individuals are becoming more and more thrilled as Pokémon Day draws nearer. It is very evident that fans are eagerly anticipating significant announcements on the tenth anniversary of the franchise.

Whether it be classic Game Boy classics, remakes of Generation 5, or the beginning of Generation 10, at this point, all of the material is still nothing more than speculation. It appears more likely than ever before that a Pokémon celebration release will blend nostalgia with plans for the future. This is because numerous sources have pointed to classic games, and signals relating to Unova have been observed repeatedly.
