Ubisoft's Leaked Roadmap Revealed Remakes, Sequels, and New Projects

Rayman, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, and more could define Ubisoft's ambitious future.

Ubisoft seems to have had its entire upcoming slate spill out into the open, and if word on the street is true, this leaked roadmap has Ubisoft's future set in stone for the foreseeable future. After a quiet stretch, the company is gearing up to deliver a mix of remakes, sequels, and new projects that touch nearly every corner of its catalog.

What better way to kick things off than with Rayman? Ubisoft is playing into our nostalgia with a big anniversary celebration. Rayman has turned 30, and to celebrate, Ubisoft Milan is reportedly working on a remake of the original Rayman game. This project could come out in 2026.

Ubisoft, however, is also thinking of making a full Rayman 4 if the remake does well. Ubisoft is known for having high standards; therefore, the success of this strategy will depend largely on how many copies it sells. But Rayman is just a piece of the puzzle. Reports indicate that Ubisoft has multiple major titles planned for release between 2026 and 2027.

On that list is the next Ghost Recon, described as a first-person shooter with similarities to Ready or Not, while still incorporating some open-world design elements. The long-awaited Splinter Cell remake is also still in the works, handled by the Ubisoft Toronto team behind Far Cry 6.

Then, for Ubisoft's trump card: Assassin's Creed Codename Hexe, the next mainline entry in the series. Unlike recent entries that leaned heavily into open worlds, this game is rumored to be more linear, with a female protagonist for a change who's got supernatural powers. Development is said to be led by the same team behind Valhalla.

Meanwhile, the Far Cry franchise looks set for a return as early as 2026 or as late as 2027 with Far Cry 7. The game reportedly centers on rescuing family members within a strict 24-hour real-time window. Players could tackle objectives in any order, but if you fail, you pay the price for it. Alongside it, Ubisoft is also experimenting with a Far Cry extraction shooter, but again, there's no concrete validity to those rumors.

Ubisoft is not done with only the mainstream titles. They have a few new ideas to try their luck with. And who knows, if any one of them blows up, we could end up seeing them for a long time to come. One is Project Alterra, an Animal Crossing-style life sim, while the other is Project Crest, a World War II extraction-based shooter. And after years of silence, Beyond Good and Evil 2 is reportedly still alive, now penciled in to launch before the end of 2027.

Some familiar names round out the lineup. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake is expected before April 2026, and it could end up getting its very own State of Play. Ubisoft is also working on a Black Flag remake along with an Assassin's Creed multiplayer title, Invictus. Both were originally targeted for the end of 2025, but going by Ubisoft's current output, you'd want to tone your expectations down a notch.

This roadmap is ambitious, but delays are a weakness for Ubisoft. It's hard to imagine all of these projects landing on time, and some names on here may be pushed down the list towards 2027. Ubisoft may be better off focusing on three major AAA releases per financial year, and if that's the case, either Ghost Recon or Far Cry 7 could be pushed further down the schedule, which is a bummer, but oh well, our hands are tied here.

Looking even further out, Ubisoft's long-term plans don't slow down. The roadmap points to The Division 3, a new mainline The Crew game, and more Assassin's Creed projects, maybe even a remake of the original AC. The next RPG in the series could even arrive as late as 2028.

For us and for you, the mix of remakes, sequels, and fresh projects can only mean one thing, and that is more gaming. Ubisoft's roadmap can only be confirmed by them. But if at least half of this news proves true, we'll get off Ubisoft's back. You better not mess this one up, Ubisoft!
