Hunting and skinning animals are a huge part of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. Normally, skinning an animal will only give you one item, like one Ocelot Pelt.

Because you need these materials to craft important gear upgrades, like carrying extra pistols, gathering materials can be time-consuming. However, you can double your harvest early in the game with a specific item.

The Secret Chest Location

You can find the item that improves your hunting yields during your very first story stop in Havana.

Make your way to the southern edge of the city and find a secret chest hidden within an alleyway between two buildings. This chest is easy to open; you need no special tools to open it.

Getting Exotic Sea Shells

When you open this particular chest, you will receive a rare trinket called Exotic Sea Shells. The item will stay in your inventory until you decide to use it.

Open your character menu, go to your inventory screens, and place the trinket in either your Trinket Slot A or Trinket Slot B in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced to get the benefits.

Doubling Your Wildlife Harvest

Once you equip the Exotic Sea Shells, the passive effect activates immediately. The trinket doubles the number of wildlife products you collect every time you skin an animal. For example, skinning an Ocelot will now give you two pelts instead of one.

This bonus is for all creatures, so you only have to hunt half as many rare animals to complete your high-level crafting recipes in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced.
