Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Guide | How to Get the Lightning Sword

In the Citadelle Des Morts map, you can unlock Elemental Swords. This guide will show you how to get the Lightning Sword, also called the Stag Sword.

Step 1: Open the Castle Door

Start by reaching the outside of the Castle. Gather enough points to open the door leading to the main wall. Once the door is open, go onto the castle walls and find the cannon. Interact with the crank and hold it down to rotate the Cannon. Keep cranking until it stops automatically. Then, go around to the back of the cannon and fire it to blast open the castle door.

Step 2: Prepare for the Next Steps

To complete this quest, you’ll need either a Shock Charge or the Dead Wire upgrade on your gun. If you don’t have either yet, save up to buy them later.

Step 3: Unlock Pack-a-Punch

After entering the Castle, go to the left-hand side and open the door there. Follow the path into the Undercroft, then open another door. Inside this room, you’ll see a Crate. Shoot the locks on the crate, and a monster will spawn.

The monster is fast but weak. Aim for its face to deal critical damage. Once it’s defeated, it will drop a crystal. Pick up the crystal and place it into the container where the monster spawned. This action will unlock Pack-a-Punch, allowing you to upgrade your weapons.

Step 4: Survive Until Round 10

Continue playing until you reach round 10. During this wave, a special zombie with a bucket on its head will spawn. This zombie is immune to headshots, so aim for its body to kill it. After defeating it, it will drop a part called the Stamp. Pick it up (it might appear on the stairs).

Step 5: Get the Basic Sword

With the Stamp, go back into the castle and open the door on the right-hand side. This will lead you to the Entrance Hall. Inside, find the first statue on the left with a deer emblem on it. Interact with this statue to take the basic sword.

Step 6: Collect the Lightning Rods

You’ll need to collect three Lightning Rods for the next step.

First Lightning Rod: Find it near the Deadshot perk machine. Interact with it to grab it.

Second Lightning Rod: Go to the other side of the castle and look for an electrical panel on the wall. Use a Shock Charge or Dead Wire on the panel, and the second Lightning Rod will drop.

Third Lightning Rod: Head to the Pack-a-Punch room. Open the door on the opposite side to reach a prison cell area. Look for Craft’s cell at the back of the room. Equip the plain sword and interact with Craft. Sometimes, the third Lightning Rod will spawn on the floor near the cell. If it doesn’t, return to the Pack-a-Punch room and continue surviving rounds. Killing Armored Zombies might cause one to drop the third Lightning Rod.

Step 7: Power Up the Sword

Once you have all three Lightning Rods, go to a Vase located on the Castle Wall. Interact with it to place the Lightning Rods inside. This will summon a vortex-like storm.

During this step, kill zombies with the sword to charge it. The sword will start glowing with lightning. When it’s glowing, quickly interact with the vase. Repeat this process three times.

Be careful—this part can get chaotic, especially in higher rounds. You may take damage from electrocution, so make sure you’re prepared with self-revives or other tools for survival.

Step 8: Upgrade the Sword

After completing the charging process, the storm will clear. Interact with the vase again to upgrade the sword. Once the upgrade is finished, you can pick up the Lightning Sword, now powered with its full abilities.

And that’s how you get the Lightning Sword or Stag Sword in the Citadelle Des Morts Zombies map in Black Ops 6!
