Causal Loop Guide | How to Solve Every Puzzle in Chapter 8

Chapter 8 starts by making you rely on Walter’s guidance and the compass at the top of the screen. Begin by moving south, then southeast. Each time you reach a Beacon, Walter gives the next direction, so keep checking the compass instead of wandering randomly.

Continue south, then turn around and go northeast when Walter tells you to. Stay close to the rock wall as you move. After that, shift southeast, then head straight south. When Walter points you southeast again, lean more toward the east and keep moving through that area until you reach the cave.

How To Solve The First Branch Bridge Puzzle

Enter the cave and go right. Move to the Branch Bubble on the left, create a Branch, cross the bridge, and press the button on the left. After that, break the Branch.

Now cross the bridge again and press the button on the right. This opens the doorway ahead. Go through it and continue until the cutscene plays.

How To Place The Green Cube

After the cutscene, use the Branch Bubble on the right and go right. Press the button on the right first. Then press the button on the left while syncing with the other Branch. The timing matters here, so watch the other Branch’s movement before pressing.

Once both buttons are handled correctly, grab the Green Cube and place it in the Green Cube Slot. Then go through the left doorway. A cutscene will play, and the next door will open.

How To Place The Yellow Cube

Through the entrance – into the Branch Bubble. Hit the button on the left. The other side is blocked by a barrier. Then go back to yourself and press the button on the right.

Pick up the Yellow Cube and place it in the Yellow Cube Slot. This creates a new bridge and opens the doors. Go into the Branch Bubble on the right, pass through the newly opened doorway on the right, and press the button there.

How To Cross The Timed Bridge

Next, go left and enter the Branch Bubble. Move through the newly opened doorway on the left, then look across and sync your movement with the other Branch. Wait for the bridge to turn off. As soon as it turns back on, move across quickly and go through the Teleport.

How To Finish Chapter 8

After teleporting, move forward and to the right. Turn left, then continue straight ahead. Enter the Branch Bubble, create a Branch, and press the first button. Then press the second button.

One of these buttons controls the barrier ahead. Create another Branch, wait for the barrier to turn off, pass through it, and press the button on the other side. Once the Branch goes through, wait near the door. When the path opens, move through the final Teleport to finish Chapter 8.
