Destiny 2: Renegades Guide | New Xur Exotic Weapons & Armors

A quick buying guide to the weekend’s exotics, catalysts, and Strange Coin picks.

Xûr is back for the weekend, and this guide turns the current inventory into simple buy-or-skip advice. You will find short stat goals for each exotic armor piece, plus the main weapon pickups that give the most value for Strange Coins.

Ghost Mods And Armor Archetypes

Your Ghost armor mod can change the stat archetype shown on certain exotic armor pieces. Swapping to a different focus can shift the roll toward archetypes like Paragon, Specialist, Bulwark, Gunner, or Brawler.

That shift matters because each archetype pushes different stat priorities, so a quick mod swap can turn a “fine” roll into a roll that actually fits your build.

Exotic Armor From Xûr

Each exotic below is described by what it wants to do, followed by the stat spike that usually makes it feel best in real gameplay.

Hunter Exotics

Gemini Jester is built around dodging, so a strong Class focus is the cleanest match. A Paragon-leaning distribution can also feel good if the goal is steady ability flow and fast, aggressive movement.

This roll is close to the kind of total stat package you want to see from a vendor, so it is an easy consideration if the exotic already fits your PvP or mobility setup.

Athrys’s Embrace is a knife-focused exotic, so a clear Melee spike is the main target. If melee is not high, the piece is harder to justify because the exotic’s value comes from making your throwing-knife loop feel consistent.

Titan Exotics

An Insurmountable Skullfort also wants a Melee spike. When the roll leans into melee, the exotic’s loop becomes smoother and more rewarding. If a ghost-mod swap pushes the piece into a better archetype for melee-focused stats, it becomes a much stronger buy.

Loreley Splendor Helm can be treated two ways. If barricades are the plan, more Class helps. If steady gunplay is the plan, a Gunner-style lean with a bigger Weapons spike is still a reasonable direction.

This helmet is flexible, so the better choice depends on whether survivability and uptime are coming from barricade timing or from staying lethal in fights.

Warlock Exotics

Skull of Dire Ahamkara is tied to Nova Bomb, so the simplest rule is to look for a Super spike. More points there usually means more value from the exotic’s identity.

Secant Filaments makes Empowering Rift grant Devour, so frequent rifts are the main win. A roll leaning toward Class is usually the best match, while a heavier Brawler lean is typically not what you want on this exotic.

An exotic class item option is also present this weekend, which can be useful if a collection gap needs filling.

Strange Offers Worth Buying

The standout utility purchase is the Deepsight Harmonizer. If weapon patterns are not finished, this is a strong way to push pattern progress forward. Craftable weapons still matter, and saving pattern progress now can pay off later when a specific perk combination is needed for a build.

Exotic Catalysts And Weapons

Catalysts are high value because they add power without requiring a perfect roll.

The SUROS Regime Catalyst is worth grabbing if it is missing. SUROS Regime can switch firing modes by holding reload, which helps it feel more flexible across different ranges and pacing.

The Graviton Lance Catalyst is another high-priority pickup if it is not owned. It adds Vorpal Weapon and Turnabout, which is a meaningful boost in content with tougher targets and frequent shields. Graviton Lance itself is also a smart buy for newer accounts that want a strong, simple primary exotic.

Two-Tailed Fox is a usable rocket launcher option. It is not the most urgent buy, but it can still fill a missing heavy exotic role if the collection is thin.

The Huckleberry is a strong pickup if aggressive primary play is your style. In the Renegades sandbox, Rampage now drops one stack at a time when the timer ends, instead of falling off completely. That change makes damage feel steadier during real fights.

Hawkmoon with Rangefinder is the roll to watch this week. Rangefinder now also provides a range boost while aiming down sights, so the perk is more attractive than it used to be. The barrel and grip are not ideal, but the perk alone can be worth the coins if a Rangefinder Hawkmoon is missing.

Legendary Weapon Notes

This section covers the main rolls on offer, using the same simple rule throughout: buy for a standout perk combo, or skip if the pairing does not do anything special.

Buzzard is an older Nightfall weapon with Encore and Swashbuckler, and that pairing is not a priority here.

Midnight Coup is showing Enlightened Action and Desperate Measures, and this combination is also a skip for most loadouts.

Redrix’s Estoc is the competitive playlist weapon in the shop, and it still has a strong reputation. The roll offered with Kill Clip and Demolitionist is not a perfect Crucible roll, since Demolitionist leans more PvE, but it is still a decent “vault it now, optimize later” pickup if you want an immediate copy.

The Deicide with Surplus and Wellspring is not very exciting for this slot, so it is easy to pass unless a collection fill is the goal.

Sole Survivor with Outlaw and Focused Fury is also hard to recommend, since the perks do not line up in a way that stands out compared to other sniper options.

Shadow Price with Surplus and Voltshot is more interesting because Voltshot is strong, but the full roll does not feel like a must-buy. It sits in the “fine if needed” category.

Ill Omen is craftable, which makes it more important than a normal random roll. Buying it and using a Deepsight Harmonizer can help unlock patterns, even if the shown perks like Assassin’s Blade and Duelist’s Trance are not a strong end goal.

Scintillation is a Nightfall weapon where Firing Line is the perk to care about. The roll also includes Cornered, which is not the best pairing for most builds, but Firing Line plus Veist Stinger is still a powerful foundation if heavy options are limited.

Temptation’s Hook Roll To Watch

Temptation’s Hook with Attrition Orbs and Whirlwind Blade is the most interesting niche pickup this weekend. Attrition Orbs can shine on a caster frame sword because the heavy attack creates multiple damage instances, and those hits can help generate extra Orbs of Power during normal gameplay.

The roll is not a universal best-in-slot sword, but it is a unique “orb printing” option that can be fun and surprisingly useful in the right setup.
