High On Life 2 Guide | Troll Under The Bridge Location

A quick, safe way to see the Troll Under The Bridge scene without risking a soft-lock.

There is a funny side quest in High On Life 2 where you can find a troll under a bridge. The scene is easy to start, but it can also lock up some saves if the dialogue stops. This guide tells you how to get to the spot, how to start the interaction, and how to save your progress before you try it.

How to Get to the Troll Under the Bridge

You can walk onto the bridge and look down from the side to see the Troll. Slowly walk up to the bridge, get rid of any threats nearby, and make sure nothing is following you.

If there are several paths in the area, take the one that leads you naturally toward the bridge crossing. This is because the trigger is linked to getting close to the underside.

How to safely start the troll interaction

Before going under the bridge, make a new checkpoint by moving away and coming back, or by doing something quick and easy nearby.

When you're ready, either drop down or walk along the edge so the camera can see clearly under the bridge. Usually, the trigger is a short moment when the scene "catches" and the Troll becomes the main character.

What Happens If You Keep Looking Under the Bridge

After the trigger, the meeting turns into a short, funny scene. Don't spam weapon swaps or quick inputs in the first few seconds of the interaction. Give the moment some space so the conversation can get going. If you can respond, wait until the prompt is fully up before clicking anything.

How to Stay Away from the Troll Soft-Lock

If the Troll dialogue doesn't respond, some saves can get stuck, which makes it hard to move and stops normal progress.

The safest way is to check that there is a checkpoint right before you drop under the bridge, and then try the scene once. If it stops working, don't try to force it to work by giving it inputs; just reload the last checkpoint right away.

The best way to get back to where you were if the scene freezes is to reload the last checkpoint. After recovering, come back later only if a patch or a new way to get to a checkpoint is available. This is because doing the trigger again and again can make the same lock again.
