This guide explains how to access the Lies of P: Overture DLC in Lies of P. The DLC becomes available after completing Chapter 9, unlocking a new adventure that expands the game world.

Prerequisites

The Lies of P: Overture DLC unlocks only after the base game is completed. Progress through the main story until the final boss of Chapter 9 is defeated.

Spoilers ahead; those who have not reached this point should proceed with caution.

Defeat the Corrupted Parade Master

Upon entering Chapter 9, confront and defeat the Corrupted Parade Master. This boss battle is mandatory to restore access to the Royal Hotel and advance the storyline toward the DLC trigger.

Access the Royal Hotel

After overcoming the Corrupted Parade Master, return to the Royal Hotel. The entrance will now be accessible. Proceed through the lobby and ascend to the upper floors to continue the activation sequence.

Activate the Stargazer

Find the sleeping Stargazer device inside the hotel. When you turn on and fix the Stargazer, it frees the trapped characters and brings power back to the building. For the next step to work, this repair must be finished.

Discover the Secret Painting

With the Stargazer online, navigate to the hidden chamber concealed by a portrait. Interact with the secret painting on the wall to reveal a hidden passage leading deeper into the hotel's restricted areas.

Obtain the Pilgrim's Token

After progressing through the hidden passage, an item named Pilgrim's Token will appear in the inventory. This token is the key to initiating the Lies of P: Overture DLC content.

Initiate the Lies of P: Overture DLC

Interact with the DLC portal when you go to Path of the Pilgrim. The Lies of P: Overture DLC will officially begin with a movie that will play on its own.

Additional Tip

Players embarking on a New Game Plus run or seeking a faster route to the DLC may choose to adjust the difficulty to Easy mode.

This reduces enemy damage and allows rapid progression through the campaign. Remember to revert to the preferred difficulty before engaging in DLC challenges.

Official Developer Note

According to the official Steam announcement by the developers, once the Stargazer is restored at the end of Chapter 9, traveling to the Path of the Pilgrim will automatically launch the Lies of P: Overture DLC sequence.
