When it comes to anchoring your team in NBA 2K26, having the right Center build makes all the difference. There's been endless debate about whether the 7'4" giants are the best option.
However, if you're looking for a safer and more balanced choice, the 7-footer is as reliable as it gets. Let's break down why this build is so strong.

7'0" Center
Centers at 7'4" might get all the hype, but 7 feet is a classic height that simply works. It's a safe bet and always works, no matter how the patches roll out. At this height, you're big enough to control the paint but not so oversized that you lose versatility.
This build is designed as an inside center, meaning your bread and butter will be rebounding or finishing at the rim. A lot of players debate whether to go popper or inside, but it really depends on your playstyle.
With this setup, you're built to eat rebounds. High vertical and a long wingspan, added with great positioning, make it almost impossible to win the glass battle against you. On offense, you've got elite finishing ability.
Passing is also underrated in this build. You'll have solid playmaking ability for a big. This makes you more than just a rebounder.

7'4" Center
The 7'4" build. This one takes the same dominance inside but adds more flexibility. At 7'4", you're towering over the opps, which means easy boards and putbacks. The finishing is great, giving you Shaq-like dunks that break defenses apart.
What makes this build special, though, is the shooting. Unlike traditional inside bigs, this version has a very solid mid-range and even a decent three-pointer. That means you can screen, roll, or pop, keeping defenders constantly guessing.

Passing and Defense
Both builds shine in terms of passing accuracy. With an 87 rating, you can snag a rebound and throw full-court lasers to your teammates leaking out. That kind of playmaking is a must-have for fast breaks and easy buckets.
Defensively, you're built to protect the paint. The steal rating isn't amazing, though. But you're in the paint, holding your ground, so it hardly matters.
A 74 block rating combined with your size ensures you'll get plenty of swats. On top of that, offensive rebounding sits around 80, and defensive rebounding at 85.

At the end of the day, the 7-foot inside Center remains one of the safest meta builds in NBA 2K26. It gives you everything you need while still offering flexibility with shooting if you take advantage of cap breakers.
If you're feeling bold, the 7'4" variation lets you go all-in on size and even stretch the floor a bit. Both versions make you the anchor every squad needs. Pick one of these builds, grab those boards, dunk with authority, and own the paint in NBA 2K26.
