The purpose of this guide is to provide you with all available information and strategies without revealing story spoilers.

Game Modes Overview

Onirism features two main modes — Open World and Arcade Mode.

Open World Mode allows for exploration across multiple large maps, which are even larger than typical open-world maps. You can explore solo, in co-op, or split-screen. The mode includes portals that lead to special in-game events and mini-games such as kart racing or tank combat. A map displays your objectives and progress, although exploring without it may help build better navigation skills and immersion.

Arcade Mode is designed for both multiplayer and offline play. It includes several sub-modes like Zombies, Aliens, Slime Splatoon, and Hunt. Each mode offers unique gameplay experiences apart from the open-world adventure.

Locations in the Open World

The open world consists of various regions to explore:

Existing Areas:

Chroma Falls Village, Volcano Chamber, The Meadows, Tree Tops, QueenBs Hive, Swamps Tunnel, Swamps Village, Oasis Main Hall, Pinewood Harbor, Pinewood City, Sky Maze, Glacier Cliff, Ice Tribe Village, Frorc Temple, The Lighthouse, Glahallas Gates, Old Mines (featuring references like the Back to the Future car and a Stranger Things portal), Canyon Bridge, Daisys Town (Carol Wanted Poster), The Bazaar, The Great Library, Celestial Spire, Cloud Temple, and Floating Planes.

New Areas for Version 1.0:

The Cursed Forest, Rottenlake City (Fishbone Harbor, District of Lights, Orca Avenue, and The Sights), Valley of the Kings, The Space Station, The Moon, Corpopolis, Corpotower, and five Nightmare Dimension levels.

Once you unlock these locations, you can fast-travel between them using Ragg’s Pop-Up Shop.

Shops and Vendors

Ragg’s Pop-Up Shop is operated by Ragg, a witch who sells weapons, clothes, and outfits. The shop includes a teleporter on the left, a wardrobe on the right, and a toolbox below the teleporter for storing collected items.

Tough Corner Shop sells unique and rare items. This shop can only be found in Pinewood City and Rusty Cannon.

Mini-Games and Events

In the open world, doors lead to different mini-games, such as Go-Kart racing, tank shooting, and platform tasks. When you finish these tasks, you'll get Dreamstones, which can be used for future changes. Pinewood City has special doors that open during holidays like Christmas. These lead to event-based tasks and holiday loot.

Character Upgrades and Abilities

You can enhance your character’s Health, Stamina, and ammo capacity through exploration.

Expansion Stats (Maximum Known):

Health: 160+

Nerf Bullets: 80+

Water Bullets: 85+

Electric Bullets: 75+

Firework Bullets: 32+

Additionally, Stamina Upgrades can be found across the maps.

Character Action Upgrades like Double Jump, Ladder Grab, Pixie Dash, and Umbrella Glide are initially locked. These are unlocked by progressing through the open-world story. These abilities are automatically available in Arcade Mode.

Weapon Collection

Several weapons are available across the open world, with new additions introduced in version 1.0. Some weapons remain exclusive to Arcade Mode for now and cannot be obtained in the open world.

Items and Tips

Various collectible items are distributed throughout the world. A key tip for version 1.0 is to use the Scooter with the Umbrella Glide Upgrade. Jumping from high places allows you to hover across distances.

Expansion Upgrade Locations

Many expansion upgrades can be found in Celestial Spire, Cloud Temple, and Floating Planes.

Health Upgrade: Found near the first elixir station. Use nearby fans to reach a building containing the upgrade. Equip the Jetpack and Glide Upgrade for easier navigation.

Stamina Upgrade: Found on a cloud platform along a zipline with two blue jump pads. It’s near the Hot Chocolate Fall.

Soap Ammo Upgrade: Found near the tramway leading to the forge. Look for a circular arena with Spear Knights. Follow platforms to a gear-shaped roof for the upgrade.

Firework Ammo Upgrade: Found near the path to the health upgrade. Look up to find a door and platforms leading to the location.

Foam Ammo Upgrade: Found inside clockwork interiors with drones. Instead of taking the final exit, search for a platform near gears and follow it to a small room.

Energy Ammo Upgrade: Found on the east side of the map after completing a climbing gauntlet leading to a library-like room.

Additionally, Dark Realm Expansion Drops can be accessed through the Rust Canyon Corporation Base portal.

The Ultimate Chest

In Windy Mellows Castle, there is a unique chest containing 3,000 Pearls. To open it, you need four keys found across the map. Three keys are hidden in fortified stone areas guarded by enemies, and one is located on a wagon in the hayfield. Completing the castle event grants access to the chest.

Secret Expansion Upgrades

Some expansion upgrades are hidden inside Glowing Rocks, which require the Upgraded Hairgun to destroy.

Known locations include:

Chroma Falls Village: One rock under the bridge in the water.

Tree Tops: One rock.

Oasis Main Hall: Two rocks.

Middle School of the Dead (Arcade Mode)

In Middle School of the Dead, your objective is to survive waves of zombies and unlock special weapons.

Activate four switches, one in each area.

Reach Wave 10, defeat Fire Slasher, and collect the dropped keys.

Find the outhouse between the arcade and farm, shoot the toilet to open a hole.

Drop into the hole, aligning with the blue lights to avoid instant death.

Complete the Laser Room Challenge to obtain special Magrails.

Deposit the Magrails at the Plague Bench before teleporting out.

Defeat special zombies (Fire, Ice, Plague, Electro) to collect testing tubes.

Place and charge each tube at designated spots:

Purple: Top of arcade room.

Blue: Inside a bar.

Yellow: On a car at the farm.

Red: Top classroom.

Deposit charged tubes and Magrails at their benches to obtain Cryorail, Blazerail, Plaguerail, and Zaprail.

Power four hidden pylons by killing Electro Zombies near them.

Return to the lab, hack the computer, and collect souls.

After the environment changes, escape the room.

Defeat Nightmare Slasher and collect the dropped item.

Return to the teleporter, place the item, and activate it to finish the mission.

It is recommended to fully upgrade your Magrails, maintain full health, and carry Elixirs and gadgets before the final encounter.

Outfits

A total of 139 Outfits (across 16 pages) can be unlocked through shops, missions, or events. These include styles like Princess Sets, Knights, Warlocks, Mages, Pirates, Spies, Soldiers, Marines, and Seasonal Costumes.

New version 1.0 includes Halloween-themed outfits. Event outfits like Christmas-themed ones are also available during specific seasonal updates.

The Holy Hand Grenade Quest

To unlock the Holy Hand Grenade, you must locate and activate four Golden Holy Crosses in Celestial Spire, Cloud Temple, and Floating Planes. Activating these crosses opens a special door that grants access to the item.

The Cursed Forest Mansion

Inside the Cursed Forest Mansion, you will find four keys and three elevator pieces:

First Key: In a bedroom filled with toys.

Second Key: In the ballroom.

Third Key: Located upstairs beyond the Lock 2 door. Found on a wall near a dead end.

Fourth Key: Found in the kitchen area of an indoor garden room, hanging on the wall.

Elevator Pieces:

Blue Piece: Found in the flooded basement after defeating a creature.

Red Piece: Found near the elevator outside the 4th locked door.

Green Piece: Found in the royal toilet past the 4th lock door. The path contains confusing staircases—move slowly to avoid looping paths.

Additionally, you can unlock a New Open World Weapon called the Ink Weapon, located near Ragg’s Shop on a wooden balcony guarded by a flying creature.
