To finish the Howling Caves Challenge Tomb, you need to head northeast from the forest in the middle of Kuwaq Yaku. Look for a path leading down toward the water to begin.

Entering the Caves

At the very start, jump into the water to find Gold Ore, Salvage, and a Resource Container. Follow the path until you reach a slope in Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Slide down and jump at the last second to grab a rock wall with your axe. Rappel down to a platform for a Resource Container, then jump to a wall covered in skulls. Shimmy to the right and climb down to reach the tunnel.

The Wolf Attack

Before you reach the puzzles, you will crawl through a tight tunnel and try to jump across a gap. You will fall into a large room where four wolves will attack you. After the fight, look around the room to find the Howling Caves Mural.

Use a Rope Arrow to cross the fire pit. On the other side, you can find the Secret Winds Document and a Resource Container. Climb up to find the Petroleum Deposit Base Camp, a Supply Cache, and the Votan Document.

Using the Pendulums

In the main room, you have to move levers to change how the wind blows. Go to the lever near the fire on the right and open the panels.

This makes a heavy pendulum swing over the bridge. Wait for the wind to slow down so you can climb onto that pendulum, then wait for the wind to pick up to jump to the left side of the room. Once there, open the second lever.

Stand on the bridge and use a Rope Arrow to pull a second pendulum toward you so it smashes the debris blocking the main path in Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

The Final Wind Puzzle

At the end of the path, you will find a third lever. Open the final set of panels to blow out the fire blocking your way. You can then reach the altar to get the Huracan’s Mantle Skill. Before this, you must deal with a stuck pendulum.

Climb the rubble ramp to the right of the third lever and shimmy across the weights to the other side. Tie a rope between the stuck pendulum and the one you moved earlier. Go back to the second lever and open the panels; the wind will pull the stuck piece loose.

Always remember to close the panels before walking across thin bridges so the wind does not knock you off in Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
