This guide explains how to finish the Underworld Gate Challenge Tomb in the Peruvian Jungle. You can find the way in right by the Jungle Ruins Base Camp.

The Entrance Path

When you first start, go into the ruins by the camp and crawl under the roots. You have to jump from a tree to a rock wall and rappel down to find a Resource Container. Near an old campsite, you can pick up Salvage and the At the Gate Document. Watch out for a tripwire on the ground and spear traps as you move through the trees and ruins.

Exploring the Ruins

Before the puzzle, you will see a tree trunk to cross. There is a cave nearby that has a Supply Cache, a Resource Container, and the Finger Length Away Document.

You get here by jumping to a rock wall and rappelling down from a high view. You will pass the Canyon Ruins Base Camp after shimmying along ruin ledges and climbing a collapsed bridge.

The Lift Puzzle

To reach the other side, you have to use a lift. There is a lever that moves it, but it moves too fast for you to catch. Go back to the spiked wheel and turn it to where it started.

Tie a rope from the wheel to the side of the lift. Go back to the lever and turn it again. The rope will slow the lift down so you can jump on and ride it across.

Before this, you must turn a spiked wheel to make a rope bridge across the gap. Cross the rope and climb up to find the lever and some Salvage.

Finishing the Tomb

At the top of the area, turn left and use a Rope Arrow on the wood wall to find Gold. You can then claim the Eagle’s Perch Skill, which is your reward for the tomb.

There is an altar with a Resource Container and more Gold behind another wood wall before you follow the path out. To get here, you have to jump to the ledges near the mural.

Grab the ledge if you slip and jump to the rock wall on the right. Climb up and jump right quickly to avoid a trap. Once you are past that, go up the stairs to find the Underworld Gate Mural and a Resource Container.
