Here's a simple guide for 100% achievement guide for The Berlin Apartment
Game Guide by Subaiyta Jahan on Nov 23, 2025
This guide explains how to unlock every achievement in The Berlin Apartment while keeping story spoilers to a minimum. Each chapter contains a variety of interactions and hidden triggers that can be easily missed, so every requirement is carefully detailed.
Although the explanations remain straightforward, some unavoidable spoilers will naturally appear due to the nature of achievement hunting.
Important Notes Before Starting
Due to the game's current issues with the saving and replay systems, it is essential to approach each chapter with caution. The "Remember" function and the checkpoint reload feature can cause inconsistent behavior, and in some cases may corrupt save files entirely.
To minimize risks, it is strongly recommended to complete each chapter in a single sitting. It is also best to avoid quitting mid-chapter or using the "Return to Last Checkpoint" feature unless specifically required for certain achievements.. If an achievement refuses to trigger due to these bugs, starting a new save file may be necessary.
The game becomes non-linear after the first chapter, and the order of chapters can be freely chosen. The order in this guide follows a clear, convenient path, but players may progress in a different order without affecting unlocks.

Chapter: 1989
The achievement "Comrade Erich, Socialist" requires you to speak to Erich anytime he starts a discussion. Erich the fish needs a chat each time he's around, albeit some of those interactions don't trigger an exclamation point.
To avoid missing the achievement, it is important to comment on the plant near the window and explore all three genres during the music selection phase. Examining everything around the room helps ensure all interactions are covered.
"In a West End town, a dead end world" is obtained by looking out of Mirco's window and examining all nine available points of interest. Every comment prompt must be interacted with to earn this achievement.
"Bullseye!" requires the paper plane to strike its target on its first try. The aim is less important than it seems, since the throw may be adjusted while the plane is in midair.
The checkpoint may be periodically reloaded until the achievement appears if the throw fails. To prevent conflicts with the Erich-related accomplishment, it is advised to start a new save file after unlocking it.

"Enough TV for today!" becomes available once the watering can be picked up later in the episode. Pouring water onto Kolja's TV will unlock this achievement. "With Style" is earned by trying on all of Kolja's outfits, which becomes possible once access to the closet is granted.
"Tear down this wall!" is automatically awarded upon completing Episode 1989 and cannot be missed.
Chapter: 2020 (part 1)
The achievement "Destroyer" involves breaking 100 tiles with the hammer. This can be completed during this visit or during a later return in 2020.
The bathroom tiles can all be destroyed, but the middle set should be avoided unless the 1933 chapter is intended to be triggered early.
The star in the fireplace will start the 1945 chapter, while interacting with the photograph behind the bathroom tiles will begin the 1933 chapter.

Chapter: 1945
Turning on the radio unlocks the achievement "All I want for Christmas…" early in this chapter. Later, once the room has been decorated and the mother comments on clothing, it becomes possible to snatch Lukas's hat, which unlocks the achievement "Borrowed."
It is necessary to ignite all of the candles in the prohibited chamber at once for "Lights in the Dark." All seven must be burning simultaneously for the accomplishment to be documented.
"O Christmas Tree" is distributed once the tree is fully decorated. To complete the tree, it is not necessary to collect every decorative item available outside.
"Good Soup" requires consuming ten spoonfuls of soup during the Christmas dinner sequence. The episode concludes with "Merry Crisis," which is an unmissable achievement given at the end of Episode 1945.

Chapter: 2020 (part 2)
During this segment, "Bully" can be obtained simply by throwing an object at Malik. This can also be completed during the next return to 2020 if preferred.
Chapter: 1933
The achievement "Completionist" requires opening every drawer in Josef's apartment. There are several rooms, each containing a specific number of drawers: eight in the kitchen, two in the darkroom, six in the living room, five in the bedroom, eight in the office, and four in the film storage room. Every drawer must be interacted with at least once.
Following Esther's initial phone call, "Come on, little one!" is unlocked. Bismarck the bird may be communicated with by going back to the kitchen and engaging with the window. Bismarck ultimately flies out of the window after repeated discussion.
"The last one" refers to capturing one last picture with the camera. Because finishing the packing list initiates a cutscene that stops further camera interaction, this action must be completed before the packing list is finished.
This also holds true for the "One heavy suitcase" accomplishment. The stone and the remaining goods must be properly packaged to earn it.
The passport should be put in the brown contract folder, the camera should be kept in the camera case next to the suitcase, and photos should be stacked in the green journal. The accomplishment will be permanently locked for that save if the camera is not retrieved before the list is finished.
"Let’s get out of here!" is automatically awarded for finishing Episode 1933.

Chapter: 2020 (part 3)
The "Return to Last Checkpoint" function can effectively fulfill two lunch-related goals: "Intermittent fasting" and "Brotzeit."
Eating lunch unlocks the second, but skipping it unlocks the first. Throwing a hefty object out the window unlocks "Rampage." This may be accomplished by throwing the big boxes out through the tubes.
Chapter: 1967
Before unlocking any of the three doors in Antonia's hallway, the achievement "Would you kindly?" needs to be checked. Later, you may unlock "1967: A Space Odyssey" by staying within the corridor maze for 10 minutes while travelling to coffee.

"Scarcity economy" is instantly given when the handmade coffee substitute is drunk. "My book, my name!" and "Ghostwriter," two noteworthy story-branch achievements, are linked to the end of the episode. In one game, both may be obtained by using "Return to Last Checkpoint."
The storyline is maintained at the price of credit in one choice, while the substance of the story is removed in the other.
"Bestseller" is awarded at the end of Episode 1967 and cannot be missed.

Final achievement
The last achievement, "Our Story," unlocks simply by sitting through the end credits. No further interaction is required.
