Zenless Zone Zero is the latest action game by miHoYo, taking place in a post-apocalyptic urban fictional setting. Here, you play the part of a character called a Proxy (despite whomever you choose from Belle and Wise as the protagonist) and your mission is to safeguard the city while solving the strange riddles of the Hollows.

Zenless Zone Zero' action-roguelike gameplay lets you delve into brief stages and level up by eliminating enemies. You can switch between your characters with ease for combo strikes and strategic gameplay, and the combat is dynamic and extremely fluid, with an emphasis on gorgeous but fast-paced action.

A big selling point of this genre is the fun characters you may unlock and play as, which lets you form teams for various challenges. You can tailor your team to the best approach for each mission by using the cast of characters. Each character has their unique talents and backstory. Some characters, like Billy, do a lot of area-of-effect damage with two pistols, while others, like Anby, use a lightning sword to slash through enemies.

But if that doesn't satisfy your craving, perhaps the powerful kicks of Lycaon will. Companion animals can execute chain attacks and assist actions, adding an extra layer of strategy to the game. Therefore, it will be crucial to pick the proper squad. Combat isn't the only thing going on in this game; you may interact with NPCs, tour a town, and take part in a variety of city activities that add to the game's universe.

Zenless Zone Zero is one of the year's most anticipated games, with more than 36.9 million gamers already pre-registered. Since Wuthering Waves had some problems at launch and Genshin Impact has been going strong for a while, I can imagine that many of you are considering giving this game a go.

miHoYo, the developer and publisher of Zenless Zone Zero is all set to release the game and they've already stated that it will be released on PC, mobile, and PlayStation on July 4th, 2024. Following multiple rounds of closed beta testing, they confirmed that the game is ready to launch after extensive development.

Given the high volume of potential players, we thought it would be helpful to provide some pointers before the game's release on how to get a head start, including a free character to add to your squad.

So, here's how you can get your hands on some great pre-release items.

Signing up in advance for the game is a simple and fast option:

At the beginning of your adventure, this will get you a lot of things. Just for signing up early, you'll receive 30,000 Denny's, the in-game currency, along with 3 Master Tapes, 5 Boopons, 5 additional Master Tapes, and all of the character Agent Corin. At each milestone in the number of pre-registrations, more and more items will be made available to you.

For example, at 40 million pre-registrations, you will receive 12 Master Tapes. These tapes appear to be an item that grants pools in-game, which means you have more chances to get additional characters or upgrades. Regardless, you won't regret it because the community has already surpassed 35 million registrations, which means you get the entire character Corin. She's pretty cool, to be honest, with a huge chain sword scythe-style weapon and some serious abilities, so pre-registering is a great way to increase your team size.

The remaining items are either currency or include an upgrade component; both will come in handy for mid-leveling your characters and upgrading later on. On top of that, you may get free stuff every day by participating in a stock-up event that runs alongside it. If you want to win stuff, all you have to do is join up for a scratchcard game and get three of a kind in a row or column.

To claim these things in-game, you'll need to be sure to place them into your inventory. Some items may even require you to extend your inventory to accommodate them. To maximize your benefit, simply finish the daily missions, such as sharing with friends or posting it on social media, to earn extra card flips, which can be used to acquire even more stuff.

Here is a brief explanation of how this works:

A-Rank awards, which contain a double U engine slice of time and are said to greatly improve your character's combat abilities, have a 3% rate, whereas lower rarity rewards have a different rate. B-Rank rewards are 15% more likely to be awarded, and each Boopon (up to a maximum of 3) can be used to buy uncommon items and upgrades.

You still acquire an A-Rank Drive Disk to boost your Attack Speed, Damage, and Defensive stats, even if your luck starts to run out (there's a 6% chance of getting C-Rank). Finally, if you manage to get the D-Rank reward—reportedly at 8%—you'll be eligible for a variety of goodies. These include, but are not limited to, in-game cash, the B-Rank Drive Disk—a tool to improve your battle stats—, an official investigator log—a record of your in-game activities—, and more.

Zenless Zone Zero has an enormous number of registered players—over 36 million—as I said earlier. So, you might as well pre-register even if you're not sure you'll play the game right now because this is a great opportunity to obtain free stuff that will help you in the future.
