Understanding Team Building is very important for any person willing to start playing ZZZ and increase his or her level. The game gives great freedom with regard to creating a team by combining characters, skills, kits, and synergies that fit your playstyle.
This guide will take you through mastering the art of team building - be it doing typical hypercarry combos or trying to do more anomalous teams.
Additional Capabilities Understanding
A good team is based on Additional Abilities, including buffs that agents receive under certain conditions, like faction or trait matches. With that, it would mean that Nicole and Anby will be boosted due to the faction match, while Zhu Yuan will have her skill triggered either by a faction match or by having a support agent in her squad.
Additional Abilities may give anything from a pretty powerful buff, for example, a 30% CRIT rate, to some more situational benefit. When putting together a team, emphasize aligning agents to unlock these bonuses. However, don't be afraid to explore; occasionally, creative mismatches provide unexpectedly successful solutions.
Hypercarry Teams: A Core Strategy
Most Hypercarry teams are built around one source of damage, the DPS taking up most of your team's damage. The concept is simple - rely on the DPS to become the strongest version of himself by using complementary roles to support him. They usually consist of:
Supporting Units: Supporting units enhance your DPS with buffs, deplete the enemy's health with debuffs, or speed up their assist. They also support the application of anomalies, which is quite instrumental in harvesting the bonuses off elemental disk drives to have increased CRIT rates against a debuffed target.
Stun Units: Stunning enemies allow your DPS to increase by times as much as 1.5x and upwards. Characters like Lycaon can even adjust these multipliers further. Stun units also increase survivability by making the enemies stop attacking, allowing a safer time for your DPS to complete combos.

Nicole + Zhu Yuan + Anby: It's my favorite, as it brings an absolutely amazing balance between immense burst damage and supportive versatility.
Soukaku + Ellen + Lycaon: It’s a meta-dominating team that delivers tons of impressive damage with seamless energy.
For players missing some peculiar agents, changes like Ben instead of Koleda would still work wonders. He does some damage, some stunning, and some utility for defense, but he is not specialized like the rest of the agents.
Addressing Abnormal Teams
Weirder teams are a few that stand a little bit apart. They are powered by elemental buffs, anomaly uses, and field control, and they are still being developed under the current meta and promising much creativity. Here are the man variants:
Attack + Anomaly + Support: The Anomaly unit acts as a sub-DPS unit while its additional anomaly effects are working, while the support agent boosts the whole team.
Attack + Anomaly + Stun: This one focuses on dazing foes in addition to increasing damage upon stunned windows.
Double Anomaly + Support/Stun: Highly experimental, two anomaly agents work with each other, further multiplying the elemental effects.
Take, for example, the anomaly physical team consisting of Nekomata, Piper, and Lucy: they need flinch debuffs to generate stacks for dazing because none of them is a dedicated stunner. This anomaly trio with Rina, Anton, and Grace demonstrates how flexible such anomaly-based compositions can be.
The Role of Disorder and Multi-Attribute Teams
Disorder teams are a bit more interesting in the sense that your anointed unit and DPS are quite different in nature because these teams really rely on the triggering of anomaly effects across many attributes in order to achieve a constant flow of boosts and debuffs. Pairing Lucy with Soldier 11 and Piper will build a mix of anomaly-building and steady damage.
Well, while Disorder teams are somewhat niche in the current meta, there's definitely room for this to grow once more agents and mechanics are added in. Similarly, two anomaly teams, like Grace and Piper, offer different synergies by stacking anomaly effects across qualities, though those teams are very experimental.
