Rollerdrome Releasing on PlayStation and PC on August 16

Private Division and Roll7 have announced that their upcoming title Rollerdrome will be available digitally on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC on August 16, 2022. Single-player, third-person shooter action fans will love this game's fast-paced action and exhilarating trick techniques. Roll7, the makers of the highly acclaimed OlliOlli World and masters of flow state gaming, is developing this wonderfully inventive shooter-skater hybrid game set in a darkly dystopian retrofuture.

It brings a retro-futuristic world with a separate identity to the Rollerdrome universe. Fresh and utterly unique music brings the comic-book-inspired graphic style to life. With a blend of 1970's textures and noises and cutting-edge production techniques, Electric Dragon provides a pounding soundtrack to the carnage.

 

Rollerdrome is a cruel new arena sport that distracts the people from an ever-increasingly grim political scenario in 2030. As part of this blood sport, contestants are selected to face off against the lethal House Players in a series of gauntlets that blur the boundary between truth and performance. With the help of eliminations, spectacular gimmicks, and countless challenges, competitors in this violent show strive to acquire the best possible score.

The roller skates of Kara Hassan, a rookie to this dangerous sport, are put on by the players. To succeed in the Rollerdrome, Kara and the player must remain focused on the task at hand: raising the rankings to become the next champions.

A creative director at Roll7 says - "It has been wonderful to witness this project grow from a simple prototype to the "brutal and intense experience it is today, thanks to the team's outstanding effort at Roll7.
