The 2025 Bandai Namco Summer Showcase was more than just a highlight reel—it was a calculated proclamation that the publisher has its finger squarely on the pulse of what players crave next.

Broadcast live from Studio Odyssey and hosted by Sydnee Goodman and Connor Kahun, the event featured a vibrant mix of new IPs, storied franchise updates, and surprising creative reinventions.

The result is a roster that showcases how the game has evolved over time, featuring more complex emotions, deeper strategic depth, and iconic locations.

Some of the games that Bandai Namco Summer Showcase has revealed and announced are:

MY HERO ACADEMIA: All's Justice

Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. officially lifted the curtain on MY HERO ACADEMIA: All's Justice, a super-powered 3D arena fighter based on the global anime juggernaut. Set during the climactic Final War arc, this game is dedicated to all long-time fans while serving as a visceral on-ramp for newcomers.

The title leans into cinematic single-player storytelling, featuring 3v3 arena combat that brings Heroes and Villains together in their most powerful and emotionally charged forms. Players can expect narrative branching, dazzling visuals, and explosive signature moves across class-wide matchups.

During the introduction, producer Aoba Miyazaki talked about early game details. After the manga's ending, original author Kohei Horikoshi said some touching things about the project's importance.

Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree

Marking a bold step into new IP territory, Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree is a charming yet challenging roguelite crafted by Brownies Inc. With a mythic realm, elemental guardians, and high-stakes dungeon exploration, this title centers on bonds between players and their guardians, and between steel and destiny.

Revealed via the first of four character trailers, the showcase also included a behind-the-scenes look at core gameplay mechanics with producer Daisuke Nagaoka. The game launches on September 19, with a custom PC giveaway live now.

Tekken 8 - Fahkumram

Celebrating three decades of uninterrupted narrative, Tekken 8 welcomes back Fahkumram, the Muay Thai warrior first seen in Tekken 7. Producer Michael Murray offered a powerful segment detailing the fighter's origin, cultural symbolism, and detailed tattoos—the Sak Yant, hand-inked by a real Thai monk.

Motion captured by Japanese Muay Thai champion Nadaka Yoshinari, Fahkumram's return in the July 7 DLC isn't just a character drop—it's a tribute to martial arts authenticity and Southeast Asian cultural legacy, all while elevating the intensity of Tekken's one-hit knockout style.

CODE VEIN II

Code Vein II makes a triumphant return to Bandai Namco's dark-fantasy repertoire. Producer Keita Iizuka gave us a better look at the world where people and vampires live together. The story is about a strange main character who is linked to Lou, a character who can change fate by changing time.

The story in the first game was ambitious, and this one builds on that with tighter gameplay, new ways to get around, and a sadder mood. Expect high customization, compelling companion dynamics, and a timeline-hopping structure that lets players literally rewrite history. Launching in 2026.

Shadow Labyrinth

In a thrilling fusion of arcade legacy and modern action-platforming, Shadow Labyrinth reimagines Pac-Man through a darker, more mature lens. Developed with retro reverence and inventive design, players control Swordsman No. 8 alongside Puck—a spherical companion inspired by Pac-Man's earliest iteration.

Producer Seigo Aizawa revealed a formidable boss named G-HOST, a mutated nod to the classic Blinky. A sprawling maze-world, dynamic ESP-based combat, and lore-rich environments pay homage to Bandai's arcade roots while crafting something entirely fresh, launching July 18 with a collector's edition featuring UV-reactive map secrets and exclusive collectibles.

EVERYBODY'S GOLF HOT SHOTS

Bandai Namco's sports segment brought a playful energy with Everybody's Golf: Hotshots, a vibrant revival of the classic arcade golf franchise. With campaign, online tournaments, and chaotic party modes—including tornado-assisted holes—this edition amps up accessibility without sacrificing depth.

Pac-Man joins the largest playable character roster to date, showcasing whimsy alongside surprisingly technical play. Releasing September 5 across PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC, the game emphasizes pick-up-and-play simplicity with room for competitive nuance.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger

Digimon Story: Time Stranger marks a decade-long awaited return to Bandai Namco's fan-favorite RPG series. Delving into parallel dimensions and temporal rifts, this title allows players to tame over 450 Digimon across visually rich, interdimensional worlds.

With a brand-new protagonist and turn-based combat that scales with complexity, it aims to satisfy long-time fans while remaining accessible to newcomers. Producer Ryosuke Hara emphasized narrative depth and strategic systems. Launching October 3, 2025, with a playable demo hitting conventions soon.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot - DAIMA DLC

The Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot universe expands with DAIMA: Adventure Through the Demon Realm, a two-part DLC pack inspired by the new Dragon Ball DAIMA anime. The first installment introduces a shrunken Goku, unfamiliar allies like Glorio and Pansy, and the volatile Demon World filled with trolls, goblins, and status-effect inducing monsters.

Packed with environmental hazards, hidden collectibles, and new battle mechanics, this expansion breathes new life into a beloved RPG, making it equally exciting for returning veterans and new players.

The Blood of Dawnwalker

Perhaps the most ambitious showing of the event, The Blood of Dawnwalker by Rebel Wolves, pushes the boundaries of open-world RPGs. Built by veterans of The Witcher 3, the game introduces Cohen, a "dawn walker" torn between his human and vampiric halves.

Set in Veil Sangora, a medieval European valley, the title features dual gameplay loops: sword-wielding daylight heroics and predatory nocturnal powers—each with consequences.

As community lead Dominika Burza explained, this "narrative sandbox" allows players to shape their path, with feeding choices, emotional ties, and a branching story designed to provoke introspection. This is storytelling with teeth.

Little Nightmares III

Atmospheric horror returns with Little Nightmares III, a spine-tingling sequel that finally introduces co-op with two playable characters—Lo and Alone.

The game, which comes out on October 10, takes players into a scary dreamworld called "The Nowhere," which is full of scary monsters and scenes that are meant to make you feel something.

Coralie Feniello, the game's producer, praised its fast-paced action and immersive setting, which solidified the series' reputation as a leader in interactive fear and stress.

The announcement also features games like PATAPON 1+2 REPLAY, the legendary rhythm RPGs return with modern enhancements and new accessibility features. Launching July 11 on PS5, Switch, and PC.

DEATH NOTE Killer Within, a narrative-driven psychological thriller that invites players to walk the thin line between justice and obsession. Also, SUPER ROBOT WARS Y, a tactical turn-based warfare meets anime megacrossover, with over 20 iconic mecha series colliding. Set to launch August 28.

What Bandai Namco accomplished with its 2025 Summer Showcase was the rare balancing act of honoring legacy while championing the new. From genre reinventions like Shadow Labyrinth and The Blood of Dawnwalker, to fan-service hits like Tekken 8 and My Hero Academia: All's Justice, every announcement pulsed with intention, craftsmanship, and momentum.

This wasn't just a showcase—it was a signal to the entire industry. People who are brave enough to mix emotion with mechanics, nostalgia with modernity, and structure with freedom will be the ones who rule the future of games. Bandai Namco not only knew that to be true, but they also told everyone else about it.

The road ahead is wired for electricity. What was the invite? Open.
